An electric power source system for a vehicle includes a lead-acid battery electrically connected with the starting device in parallel as a first storage battery, a second storage battery electrically connected with the starting device in parallel, a switch device disposed between the lead-acid battery and the second storage battery on an electrical path connecting the lead-acid battery with the second storage battery, at least one electrical load electrically connected to the electrical path and disposed closer to the lead-acid battery, and a switch controller controlling the switch device to maintain a closed state except an engine start duration while the engine is being started by a starting device after a power of the vehicle is turned on.

Electric power source system

A power supply apparatus includes a generator, lead-battery, and second-battery. Open-circuit voltages and internal resistances of the batteries are determined so that: there is a point, where the open-circuit voltage of the second-battery coincides with that of the lead-battery, in a region on a smaller-residual-capacity side relative to a range of use in an entire-residual-capacity range of the second-battery; the open-circuit voltage of the second-battery is larger than that of the lead-battery in the range of use of the second-battery; the internal resistance of the second-battery is smaller than that of the lead-battery in a charging state of the generator; and a terminal voltage of the second-battery in a state where a maximum charge current is passed through the second-battery is smaller than a regulated voltage in a power-generation state of the generator. An opening/closing section is closed in at least one of a power-generation state and a load-activated state.

Power supply apparatus

In a current measuring device for measuring an electric current flowing through between a terminal of a battery and a wire, a resistance member has a length and first and second ends in a direction of the length. The first end is to be secured electrically to the terminal of the battery. The second end is to be secured electrically to the wire. The resistance member constitutes a current flow path between the terminal of the battery and the wire. The resistance member has a turned portion through which the current flow path extends. The current measuring device includes a circuit board in which a current measuring circuit is installed. The current measuring circuit measures an electric current flowing through the resistance member based on a potential difference between two different points defined on the resistance member.

Electric current measuring device with improved installability

A current detecting device includes a second fixed part to which the harness is fixed and electrically connected, a bus bar as a resistor inserted between a first fixed part and the second fixed part, a circuit board in which a current detection circuit is mounted, the current detection circuit detecting current flowing through the bus bar based on a potential difference between two points along an energizing direction of the bus bar, and a case accommodating the bus bar and the circuit board. The second fixed part to which the harness is fixed and electrically connected is disposed within a battery upper surface area.

Current detecting device

The power generation amount control apparatus includes a battery state determination section, a generator performance determination section, a power-generation-amount increase determination section, an idle state determination section, and a power generation restriction control section. The power generation restriction control section is configured to perform power generation restriction control to restrict a power generation amount of a vehicle generator driven by a vehicle engine when the idle state determination section determines that the vehicle engine is in the idle state, the power-generation-amount increase determination section determines that the power-generation-amount increase demand is not present, and the battery state determination section determines that the battery charged by the vehicle generator is not deteriorated.

Power generation amount control apparatus

An electric power generation control apparatus is connected to an external controller composed of a vehicle interface circuit capable of generating and transferring a power switch-on signal to the electric power generation control apparatus. When receiving the power switch-on signal, the electric power generation control apparatus initiates its operation. The electric power generation control apparatus has a receiving terminal, a control signal receiving circuit, an electric power source circuit, and an electric power generation control circuit. The control signal receiving circuit receives the power switch-on signal through the receiving terminal regardless of the circuit type of the vehicle interface circuit. When the control signal receiving circuit receives the power switch-on signal, the electric power supply circuit initiates to supply the electric power to the electric power generation control circuit. When receiving the electric power from the power supply circuit, the electric power generation control circuit initiates its operation.

Electric power generation control apparatus

A generation control apparatus for vehicles is provided, in which a drastic change in the drive torque of a generator, which occurs with the cancellation of gradual excitation immediately after starting an internal combustion engine, can be suppressed to prevent stoppage of the internal combustion engine. The generation control apparatus includes an engine-start detection circuit, a gradual excitation circuit, a comparator for gradual-excitation cancellation, and a masking circuit for gradual-excitation cancellation. After detecting an engine start by the engine-start detection circuit, an instruction for gradual-excitation cancellation is released during an initial gradual excitation performed by a gradual excitation circuit, based on an output from the masking circuit for gradual-excitation cancellation. The drastic change in the drive torque occurring with the cancellation of the gradual excitation immediately after the engine start, can thus be suppressed, thereby preventing the engine stop.
