A multipolar connector capable of suppressing an increase in impedance even when unused terminal-accommodating spaces are present. The multipolar connector includes a housing containing a plurality of partitioned terminal-accommodating spaces and a high-dielectric-constant body. Each of the terminal-accommodating spaces optionally contains a connecting terminal electrically connected to a wiring. The high-dielectric-constant body is formed from a material having a higher dielectric constant than air and is inserted into at least one unused terminal-accommodating space, which does not contain a connecting terminal electrically connected to a wiring.

Multipolar connector

A branch connector located at a position where a branch line is connectedly branched from a main line constituting a communication circuit, comprising: inside a connector housing thereof, one or a plurality of bus bars each having a joint part long and narrow and a plurality of electric wire connection terminal parts projected by spacing said electric wire connection terminal parts at a certain interval from said joint part in a longitudinal direction thereof; a plurality of cylindrical insulation parts each having a hollow portion through which one of said electric wire connection terminal parts is inserted; and a plurality of filter materials each of which is made of a conductive magnetic material and fitted on one of said cylindrical insulation parts to prevent each of said filter materials and said corresponding electric wire connection terminal part from contacting each other.

Branch connector

The present invention provides a nonwoven metal fabric for various uses, such as a filter used for purification of exhaust gas from automobiles or semiconductor manufacturing gas, a catalyst carrier of fuel cell, and so forth, in which the corrosion resistance is improved without compromising the property in terms of pressure loss. The nonwoven metal fabric of the present invention is formed with the metal fibers wherein the relation of the fiber diameter Da at the surface part of the gas inlet side and the fiber diameter Db at the central part of the thickness direction is expressed as the equation Da&gE;1.5&times;Db and the fiber diameter Da at the surface part of the gas inlet side is not less than 15 &mgr;m and not more than 60 &mgr;m.

Nonwoven metal fabric and method of making same

In manufacturing a corrosion-resistant metallic porous member having high Cr content by diffusion process in which the material is heat-treated, a plurality of heat cycles are used to achieve uniform Cr content in the thickness direction. Metallic porous body of Ni, Fe, Ni-Cr or Fe-Cr is buried in a powder of Al, Cr and NH.sub.4 Cl. Inert gas such as Ar and H.sub.2 is introduced and the porous body is heat treated at 800.degree.-1100.degree. C. In the heat treatment, at least two temperature-increase and temperature-decrease steps are included.

Corrosion-resistant metallic porous member and method of manufacturing

A process for the production of a heat- and corrosion-resistant porous metal body which is made of a metal or whose surface layer is made of a metal, in which the porous metal body can be alloyed with chromium or a combination of chromium and aluminum uniformly throughout the entire thereof by adjusting the alloy composition in the following manner, i.e., (A) heat-treating the porous metal body in a mixed gas comprising a gas, generated by heating a powdered mixture comprising chromium or its compound and NH.sub.4 Cl at 950.degree. to 1100.degree. C., and a diluent reducing gas at 800.degree. to 1100.degree. C, or (B) heat-treating the porous metal body in a mixed gas comprising a gas, generated by heating a powdered mixture comprising aluminum or its compound, chromium or its compound and NH.sub.4 X, wherein X is I, F, Cl or Br, at a weight ratio of the chromium or its compound to the aluminum or its compound of 10 to 80 in terms of Cr and Al respectively at 950.degree. to 1100.degree. C., and a diluent reducing gas at 800.degree. to 1100.degree. C.

Process for the production of heat- and corrosion-resistant porous metal

A process, particularly a continuous process, for industrially producing a high-quality inexpensive porous iron metal while preventing the conventional rusting problem which process comprises coating the surface of a conductive porous base material by iron electroplating, removing the base material, and then reducing the coating. The iron electroplating was conducted in an acid iron plating bath which contains at least one from acid aluminum compound and/or at least one acid titanium compound, using an anode which contains at least either of aluminum and titanium and has a surface area not smaller than 1/3 of and not larger than that of the base material. The reduction is conducted by a two-step heat treatment for improving the iron structure and for softening.

Process for producing porous iron metal body

A process for the production of a heat- and corrosion-resistant porous metal body which is made of a metal or whose surface layer is made of a metal, in which the porous metal body can be alloyed with chromium or a combination of chromium and aluminum uniformly throughout the entire thereof by adjusting the alloy composition in the following manner, i.e., (A) heat-treating the porous metal body in a mixed gas comprising a gas, generated by heating a powdered mixture comprising chromium or its compound and NH.sub.4 Cl at 950.degree. to 1100.degree. C., and a diluent reducing gas at 800.degree. to 1100.degree. C., or (B) heat-treating the porous metal body in a mixed gas comprising a gas, generated by heating a powdered mixture comprising aluminum or its compound, chromium or its compound and NH.sub.4 X, wherein X is I, F, Cl or Br, at a weight ratio of the chromium or its compound to the aluminum or its compound of 10 to 80 in terms of Cr and Al respectively at 950.degree. to 1100.degree. C., and a diluent reducing gas at 800.degree. to 1100.degree. C.

An unwoven metal fabric suitable for use as a battery electrode, a catalyst or a filter, and a method of manufacturing such fabric. An unwoven carbon fabric made up of carbon fibers bound together by a resin is heated to carbonize the binder resin and thus to impart electrical conductivity to the resin, and at the same time finely roughen the surfaces of the carbon fibers and the resin. A plating layer is directly formed on the unwoven carbon fabric thus formed by electroplating. Then, the unwoven carbon fabric is removed by roasting to provide an aggregate of metal fibers joined together and having their voids communicating with one another.
