On-vehicle light distribution control system

A front camera for filming an area stretching forwards is disposed in a front portion of a vehicle. A side camera for filming an area stretching laterally and diagonally forwards is disposed in a lateral-left portion of the vehicle. An indicator display that can be visually recognized by a driver is disposed in a compartment of the vehicle. An amount of change in the direction of the vehicle, that is, a deflection angle of the vehicle is detected on the basis of a vehicle speed and a steering angle of a steering wheel, which have been detected by means of various sensors. After the indicator display has started displaying a lateral photo image filmed by the side camera, the photo image displayed by the indicator display is shifted from the lateral photo image filmed by the side camera to a front photo image filmed by the front camera if the deflection angle has reached a predetermined angle.

Vehicle periphery monitor

A back camera image from a back camera mounted on a rear portion of a vehicle body is displayed on a display mounted on the console inside the vehicle cabin when the vehicle is parallel parking. After the vehicle passes a steering direction reversal point in this state, a corner camera image from a corner camera mounted on a corner portion of a front portion of the vehicle body is displayed on the display when the vehicle nears a vehicle parked in front, or, more specifically, when an angle of the vehicle after it has reached the steering direction reversal point has reached a predetermined value. Guidance images may be overlaid upon the camera images during some or all of the parallel parking maneuver.

Device for monitoring area around vehicle

A parking assistance device capable of performing an easy operation for parking a driver's own vehicle along a parking course up to a parking target position. A parking course in which the driver's own vehicle reaches a parking target position indicated by a marker of a screen of a display of the driver's own vehicle is calculated up (S ). A parking assisting apparatus displays an image of a rear view from a vehicle, which is acquired by a camera, on a display located in a passenger compartment, thus assisting in a parking procedure. The parking procedure assisted by the parking assisting apparatus is, for example, a parallel parking procedure in which the rotating direction of the steering wheel must be switched. An assumed path along which the vehicle is moved during the parking procedure is determined in accordance with the steering angle of the steering wheel when the parking procedure is started. In the parking procedure, the display indicates a steering information that informs the driver of a timing at which the rotating direction of the steering wheel must be switched, in accordance with the assumed path.

Parking assisting apparatus

A fuel injector comprising a pair of air passages which are joined at the nozzle opening, whereby fuel injected from the fuel supply bore is joined with the airstreams flowing in the air passages. At this time, the fuel is carried by the airstreams and thus flows through the air passages at a high speed, and accordingly, the fuel is caused to impinge against the inner wall of the nozzle opening at a high speed.

Fuel injector for use in an engine

A fuel injection system for an internal combustion engine wherein an oxygen sensor for detecting a limit electric current is employed for providing a signal indicating an oxygen partial pressure in the gas introduced into the engine. The sensor detects an amount of air newly introduced into the engine. In addition to a map for calculating a basic fuel injection amount from the oxygen partial pressure, a second map is provided for calculating the basic fuel amount from a parameter such as a degree of opening of the throttle valve. A degree of activation of the oxygen sensor is determined by detecting the impedance of the sensor. When it is determined that the oxygen sensor is not activated, the second map is employed in place of the first map to calculate the basic fuel amount based on the degree of opening of the throttle valve.

Internal combustion engine having electric controlled fuel injection

A control device for an internal combustion engine having an oxygen sensor, and calculation means for calculating a weight of oxygen fed to the internal combustion engine. The oxygen sensor outputs a signal corresponding only to a density of oxygen contained in intake gas fed to the engine. The oxygen sensor has a diffusion layer having pores through which oxygen molecules pass, the pores having a diameter less than or equal to the mean free path of the oxygen molecules contained in the intake gas.

Device for controlling an internal combustion engine

In a double air-fuel sensor system including two air-fuel ratio sensors upstream and downstream of a catalyst converter provided in an exhaust gas passage, an actual air-fuel ratio is adjusted in accordance with the outputs of the upstream-side and downstream-side air-fuel ratio sensors including an air-fuel ratio correction amount. Also, a learning correction amount is calculated so that a mean value of the air-fuel ratio correction amount is brought close to a reference value. The actual air-fuel ratio is further adjusted in accordance with the learning correction amount.

Double air-fuel ratio sensor system carrying out learning control

In a double air-fuel sensor system including two air-fuel ratio sensors upstream and downstream of a catalyst converter provided in an exhaust gas passage, an actual air-fuel ratio is adjusted in accordance with the outputs of the upstream-side and downstream-side air-fuel ratio sensors. Also, when the output of the upstream-side air-fuel ratio sensor is in an abnormal state, an alarm is generated.

Double air-fuel ratio sensor system having improved exhaust emission

In a double air-fuel sensor system including two air-fuel ratio sensors upstream and downstream of a catalyst converter provided in an exhaust gas passage, an actual air-fuel ratio is adjusted in accordance with the outputs of the upstream-side and downstream-side air-fuel ratio sensors including an air-fuel ratio correction amount. Also, a learning correction amount is calculated so that an integration amount of the air-fuel ratio correction amount is brought close to a reference value. The actual air-fuel ratio is further adjusted in accordance with the learning correction amount.

In a double air-fuel sensor system including two air-fuel ratio sensors upstream and downstream of a catalyst converter provided in an exhaust gas passage, an actual air-fuel ratio is adjusted in accordance with the outputs of the upstream-side and downstream-side air-fuel ratio sensors. A center value of an air-fuel ratio correction amount or an air-fuel ratio feedback control parameter calculated based upon the output of the downstream-side air-fuel ratio sensor is calculated by a learning control, and an air-fuel ratio feedback control is initiated by using the center value when the engine enters into an air-fuel ratio feedback control state.

In a double air-fuel sensor system including two air-fuel ratio sensors upstream and downstream of a catalyst converter provided in an exhaust gas passage, an actual air-fuel ratio is adjusted in accordance with the outputs of the upstream-side air-fuel ratio sensor and the downstream-side air-fuel ratio sensor. The adjustment of the air-fuel ratio by the downstream-side air-fuel ratio sensor is stopped when the engine is in a predetermined state.
