A terminal box includes three or more terminal strips to which output lines of a solar cell module are connected and a box body having an accommodating portion for accommodating the three or more terminal strips. The box body includes inlet holes formed in a face of the box body opposing to the solar cell module and configured for allowing insertion of the output lines corresponding respectively to the three or more terminal strips. The three or more terminal strips include at least two first terminal strips of a same polarity and at least one second terminal strip insulated from the first terminal strips and having the opposite polarity to that of the first terminal strips. The two first terminal strips are electrically connected via a connecting portion disposed on a back face side of the second terminal strip disposed between and aside the two first terminal strips.

Terminal box and solar cell module

Provided is a terminal box that allows easy insertion of a tab thereto, irrespectively of the position or direction of the tab extended from a solar cell module. A terminal box with a pair of tabs connected thereto for outputting electric power generated by a solar cell module, includes a case having an accommodating space therein and a pair of electrode plates disposed in the accommodating space. Each one of the pair of electrode plates has a terminal connecting portion to be connected with the tab and a cable connecting portion to which an output cable transmitting the electric power to an external device is connected. The case has tab inserting holes allowing insertion of the tabs into the accommodating space, the tab inserting holes being formed in an opposing face of the case opposing the electrode plates and at positions across the terminal connecting portion of at least one of the pair of electrode plates as the case is viewed perpendicularly above the opposing face.

Terminal box

A terminal box that stably and surely provides a required length of play in an output line, and a method of connecting the output line. The terminal box includes a terminal strip connected to the output line, and a main body housing the terminal strip. The terminal strip includes a connecting portion electrically connected to the output line, and a play producing portion. The play producing portion has an opening receiving the output line. The main body includes a receiving hole formed at a position corresponding to the opening for receiving the output line. The play producing portion inclines relative to the connecting portion by a first angle with the output line being inserted through the receiving hole and the opening to be connected to the connecting portion, and by a second angle smaller than the first angle with the output line being connected to the connecting portion.

Terminal box and method of connecting output line

A terminal box that can be reliably fixed to a solar cell module is provided. The terminal box includes a bottom wall facing a back surface of the solar cell module, a top wall facing the bottom wall, side walls, and a housing space defined by the bottom wall, the top wall and the side walls to accommodate a component to be mounted. The bottom wall includes a limiting wall formed in a periphery of the bottom wall to project toward the solar cell module, and a communication opening for allowing a charging space defined by the limiting wall and the bottom wall to communicate with the housing space. The limiting wall defines a gap for allowing the charging space to communicate with external space of the limiting wall.

A terminal box includes a box body having a bottom portion, a terminal portion fixed to the box body, a pressing portion, a holding portion and a slide mechanism The bottom portion has an opening portion capable of receiving a terminal inserted therein from the outside. The terminal portion is capable of establishing electric conduction between the terminal portion and the terminal upon contact therewith. The pressing portion is switchable between a contacting state in which the pressing portion clamps the terminal with the terminal portion for establishing electric conduction between the terminal portion and the terminal and a spaced state spaced apart from the terminal portion. The holding portion holds the pressing portion integrally and is slidable on the box body in the direction of movement of the pressing portion to/away from the terminal portion.
