A medical tool includes: a tool main unit configured to be driven in response to a power supply; a first power supply configured to be removable from the tool main unit; and a second power supply having a smaller power capacity than the first power supply, and configured to be charged by the first power supply. The tool main unit is configured to be driven by receiving power supply from one of the first power supply and the second power supply.

An ultrasound treatment system comprises an ultrasonic transducer, a handpiece, a probe, a sheath, a clamping member, an operation unit, an operating member, a suction base, and a perfusion base. The ultrasonic transducer generates ultrasonic vibrations. The handpiece has the ultrasonic transducer incorporated therein. The probe is connected to the ultrasonic transducer for transmitting ultrasonic vibrations to a distal member realizing a stationary portion that is a treatment portion for treating a living tissue. The sheath serves as a protecting member for shielding the probe. The clamping member is opposed to the distal member at the distal end of the sheath for clamping a living tissue in cooperation with the distal member. The operation unit is manipulated for clamping a living tissue with the clamping member and distal member or freeing the living tissue therefrom.

Ultrasound treatment system

An ultrasound treatment system in accordance with the present invention comprises an ultrasonic transducer, a handpiece, a probe, a sheath, a clamping member, an operation unit, an operating member, a suction base, and a perfusion base. The ultrasonic transducer generates ultrasonic vibrations. The handpiece has the ultrasonic transducer incorporated therein and serves as an operation unit. The perfusion base is formed on the outer circumference of the handpiece and communicating with the lamen of the sheath.

An ultrasonic treatment instrument for medical operation is provided which includes a handpiece having a cover serving as a grip, and an ultrasonic vibrator provided inside the cover for generating ultrasonic vibration. A vibration transmitting member is connected to the ultrasonic vibrator while extending from the handpiece, for transmitting the ultrasonic vibration generated by the ultrasonic vibrator. And a treatment portion is provided at a distal end of the vibration transmitting member, for treating living body tissues by the ultrasonic vibration transmitted by the vibration transmitting member. The vibration transmitting member extends while bent at a plurality of bent portions so that the treatment portion is positioned on or near an extension of a central axis of the handpiece.

Ultrasonic treatment instrument for medical operation

A surgical microscope apparatus incorporating a frame portion placed on a floor, a microscope body for stereoscopically observing a portion to be operated, an arm portion supported by the frame portion and arranged to suspend the microscope body, and an endoscope for observing a blind spot for a stereoscopic observation field of view. The frame portion has a light source unit for generating light for illuminating a portion observed with the endoscope and a camera control unit for processing an observed image of an observed portion obtained by the endoscope. A light guide fiber extending from the light source unit to the microscope body and capable of supplying light to the endoscope, and a camera cable for transmitting the image observed with the endoscope to the camera control unit extend in the arm portion. The microscope body is provided with an end of the light guide fiber for connecting the endoscope and a camera head connected to the camera cable.

An ultrasound treatment system in accordance with the present invention includes: ultrasonic transducers for generating ultrasonic vibrations; a handpiece including the ultrasonic transducers and serving as an operation unit; a probe connected to the ultrasonic transducers and serving as a vibration conveyer for conveying ultrasonic transducers to a distal member constituting a stationary section of a treatment unit used to treat a living tissue; a sheath serving as a protective member for shielding the probe; a holding member opposed to the distal member at the distal end of the sheath and constituting a movable section of the treatment unit which clamps a living tissue in cooperation with the distal member; a manipulator to be handled for clamping or freeing a living tissue using the holding member and distal member; an operation member for driving the holding member responsively to a movement of the manipulator; and a turning mechanism for turning the treatment unit relative to the manipulator with the axial direction of the ultrasonic transducers as a center.

An endoscopic sheath comprising a tubular sheath section having a distal end portion and a hole which extends throughout the length of the sheath section and through which an insert section of an endoscope having observation device can be passed, at least the distal end of the distal end portion opening, and at least the distal end portion being formed of a transparent material, and positioning device for positioning the insert section of the endoscope in the sheath section so that at least part of the distal end portion of the sheath section can be within the view range of the endoscope. A method of securing a cavity includes introducing the sheath and transparent distal end portion into an incision and detaching first and second tissues using the sheath and transparent distal end portion.

A medical treatment instrument is provided with a treatment section for treating issue, an insertion section which has at one end the treatment section, and an operating section which is provided at the other end of the insertion section, operates the treatment section, and has a fixed portion and a movable portion. The treatment section is actuated by pivoting the movable portion with respect to the fixed portion. The medical treatment instrument is further provided with an actuating main body and a cover. The cover is displaceable between a first position in which the medical treatment instrument is used and a second position in which the inside of the operating section is uncovered.

A medical instrument for use in combination with an endoscope having an operating shaft and a pair of tongs. The instrument has a drive mechanism provided between the operating shaft and the tongs, for opening and closing the tongs. The drive mechanism can apply an additional force to the tongs even after the tongs have closed completely.

An endoscopic sheath of the present invention comprising a tubular sheath section having a distal end portion and a hole which extends throughout the length of the sheath section and through which an insert section of an endoscope having observation device can be passed, at least the distal end of the distal end portion opening, and at least the distal end portion being formed of a transparent material, and positioning device for positioning the insert section of the endoscope in the sheath section so that at least part of the distal end portion of the sheath section can be within the view range of the endoscope.

Endoscopic sheath

A surgical instrument for treatment in the body cavity, in which an open-close member for treatment is rockably mounted by of a pivot pin on the distal end portion of a sheath to be inserted into the body cavity, and is connected to the distal end of a rod passed through the sheath, by a cam mechanism including a cam groove and a cam pin in engagement therewith. As the rod is moved by an operating handle, the cam mechanism is activated to open and close the open-close member for treatment. The component members of the cam mechanism have external shapes such that those portions on the proximal end side of the position near the pivot pin do not project from the sheath in every operating state.
