The road surface undulation estimator includes: a road surface undulation information obtainer that obtains road surface undulation information items indicating the undulation at points and being calculated based on images generated when an imager provided to a mobile body performs image capturing a plurality of times; a determiner that determines whether or not the obtained road surface undulation information items each satisfy a predetermined condition; and an estimator that estimates the undulation based on road surface undulation information items which have been determined to satisfy the predetermined condition.

A display device includes a processing circuit and a display. The processing circuit obtains an ambient temperature of a gyro sensor, obtains a sensitivity associated with a temperature range including the ambient temperature, corrects an angular velocity of the gyro sensor in accordance with the sensitivity, estimates a first estimated vehicle orientation based on the angular velocity corrected, estimates a second estimated vehicle orientation based on the angular velocity detected by the gyro sensor, derives a third estimated vehicle orientation by correcting the first estimated vehicle orientation using a position and a speed of vehicle, and updates the sensitivity of the temperature range using a calculated sensitivity that is based on the second estimated vehicle orientation and the third estimated vehicle orientation. The display displays an image that is in accordance with the third estimated vehicle orientation.

A display device includes a controller that determines the mode of inclination of a display object that is an image shaped to point to one direction, and a drawing unit that projects light representing the display object in the mode of inclination determined by the controller onto a windshield to cause the light to be reflected off the windshield toward a user in the vehicle to enable the user to visually recognize the display object in the mode of inclination as a virtual image through the windshield. The controller determines the mode of inclination of the display object that points to the one direction as a navigation direction, by controlling yaw and roll angles of the display object depending on the attribute of a path point that is set on the path to navigate the vehicle to a destination.

Imaging and display system includes: a display; an optical system including a first mirror and a second mirror; a housing; a light-transmissive cover transparent to light and disposed to cover at least part of an opening of the housing; and a driver monitoring camera supported by a supporting body connected outside of the housing. First light emitted from the display passes through the light-transmissive cover via the optical system, and is reflected by a windshield toward a direction of the user. The driver monitoring camera captures an image of a driver shown on the light-transmissive cover by second light from a direction of the driver reflected by the windshield toward a direction of the light-transmissive cover.

A light guide body in a display device includes a first incident surface on which an image light is incident, and a second emission surface from which the image light is emitted. The light guide body includes a second emission optical element that diffracts the image light to emit a portion of the image light at a predetermined emission angle every time the image light enters the second emission optical element from a predetermined direction. The image light is diverged by being emitted from the second emission optical element such that the predetermined emission angle varies in accordance with a location in one predetermined region included in a plurality of predetermined regions of the optical element. A video display system includes: a screen on which an mage for displaying a virtual image is projected; a light source that emits laser light; a scanner that projects the image onto the screen by biaxially scanning the laser light onto the screen; and a controller that generates the image and controls the light source using an image signal for causing the generated image to be projected onto the screen by the laser light, and receives an input of sensing information measured using a temperature sensor and controls the scanner in accordance with the input sensing information. When the sensing information indicates a temperature outside a given temperature range, the controller causes the scanner to reduce an amplitude of the biaxial scanning in at least one axial direction to a smaller value than when the sensing information indicates a second brightness or a temperature within the given temperature range.
