A wire guide device of a wire electrical discharge machine includes a first roller shaft, a first wire guide roller provided at an end of the first roller shaft, a second roller shaft, and a second wire guide roller provided at an end of the second roller shaft and having an end face in an axial direction provided to face an end face of the first wire guide roller in the axial direction. The first wire guide roller and the second wire guide roller have a conical surface and a conical surface with which a wire electrode is in contact.

The MEMS mirror control unit () makes the laser beam detector () irradiated with a first light beam (L), and at this time adjusts a position of a first display image () on the basis of a difference between a detection signal output from a first light sensor () and a detection signal output from a second light sensor (); the MEMS mirror control unit () makes a first light reception surface and a second light reception surface irradiated with a second light beam (L), and at this time adjusts a position of a second display image () on the basis of a difference between a detection signal output from the first light sensor () and a detection signal output from the second light sensor ().

Image projection apparatus

An optical scanning device includes a first scanning driving unit and a second scanning driving unit. The first scanning driving unit includes a scanning mirror and a frame structure supporting the scanning mirror. The first scanning driving unit is configured to cause the scanning mirror to rotate about a first rotation axis by means of deformation of the frame structure. The second scanning driving unit includes a rotation holder supporting the first scanning driving unit and a supporting shaft. The second scanning driving unit is configured to cause the rotation holder to rotate about the second rotation axis. The frame structure includes a pair of beams provided so as to sandwich the scanning mirror in a direction of the first rotation axis, and a pair of base portions provided on sides of respective beams of the pair of beams opposite to the scanning mirror. Each of the pair of base portions has an elongated shape elongated in a direction of the second rotation axis, and is deformable.

Optical scanning device and projector

A laser scanning device includes: a plurality of laser light sources, each of the plurality of laser light sources emitting a laser light having a light intensity distribution having an elliptical shape; an aperture through which the laser lights emitted from the plurality of laser light sources pass; and a scanning mirror for reflecting the laser lights from the aperture to a scan position. A position of the aperture is adjustable in a first adjustment direction. The plurality of laser light sources are oriented so that long axis directions of the light intensity distributions of the laser lights emitted by the plurality of laser light sources are parallel to the first adjustment direction at positions at which the laser lights emitted by the plurality of laser light sources enter the aperture.

An optical component, a hologram, and a photodetector are configured in an optical head device of an optical disc device such that a +1-order beam or a &#x2212;1-order beam of diffracted light generated from light reflected from an information track in the intended information recording layer strikes the interior of the light-receiving surfaces of the tracking error detection light-receiving sections, a +1-order beam or a &#x2212;1-order beam of diffracted light generated from light reflected from an information track in an information recording layer one layer deeper than the intended information recording layer strikes outside the light-receiving sections, and a +1-order beam or a &#x2212;1-order beam of diffracted light that is generated from light reflected from an information track in an information recording layer one layer shallower than the intended information recording layer strikes outside the light-receiving sections.

Optical head device and optical disc device

An optical pickup device includes a laser light source, a collimating optical systemfor converting laser light to parallel light, a focusing optical systemfor focusing the parallel light onto an optical disc, a light detection unit for receiving returning light returning by reflection of the focused light from the optical discand outputting a detection signal, and a reflecting mirrordisposed between the collimating optical system and the focusing optical system. The reflecting mirrorhas a reflective surface including three regions having different reflectances. The central region on the reflecting surface meets the other two regions, at positions illuminated by the light focused by the light focusing optical system, in boundary lines that are parallel to a radial direction on the optical disc. The reflectance of the central region is lower than the reflectances of the other two regions.

Optical pickup device and optical disc device

An optical recording/reproduction method and device that can perform control for optimizing the amount of spherical aberration in a multilayered optical disc in a short period of time. When the objective lens is displaced in the focusing direction, the amplitude value of the focusing error signal detected just after leaving the focal position of a given first recording layer and the amplitude value of the focusing error signal detected just before passing through the focal position of a given second recording layer other than the first recording layer are measured with a particular spherical aberration, the amplitude ratio of amplitude values is calculated, the difference between spherical aberration and the optimal spherical aberration for the second recording layer is approximated as a function of the amplitude ratio, the optimal spherical aberration is calculated on the basis of this approximation, and the spherical aberration is set.

Optical recording/reproduction method and optical recording/reproduction device

An optical disc device compatible with optical discs of different types having different track pitches, having a light detecting means () disposed in the path of diffracted light from the recording tracks on the optical disc (), on which a light beam from a light emitting section () is incident. During the loading of the optical disc, the optical disc device discriminates the type of optical disc from the detection output of the light detecting means () and the positional relation between the optical disc () and the light detecting means (). A simple structure thus enables the optical disc type to be discriminated.

An optical pickup device includes a plurality of laser light sources emitting laser beams of different oscillation wavelengths, and a plurality of objective lenses on which the laser beams in the form of diverging beams emitted by the plurality of laser light sources are incident, and which directly focus the laser beams onto a recording surface of an optical disc. A rising mirror reflects a laser beam in the form of a diverging beam emitted by a laser light source of a predetermined oscillation wavelength among the plurality of laser light sources so as to lead the laser beam to one of the plurality of objective lenses, and transmits the laser beam in the form of a diverging beam emitted by the other laser light source. As the rising mirror transmits the laser beam in the form of the diverging beam emitted by said other laser light source, astigmatism is generated so as to correct existing astigmatism of the laser beam emitted by said other laser light source.

An optical-system driving device is achieved that can switch over between objective lenses and is space-saving, lightweight, and simply-configured. An optical-system driving device for recording information onto or playing it back from an optical storage medium, includes a stationary unit having a rotation axis; a movable unit pivotable about the rotation axis; pivotal movement means for pivotally moving the movable unit about the rotation axis; and the movable unit includes a holder having a plurality of optical means that is able to focus a beam of light onto the optical storage medium, and a plurality of conductive elastic members for supporting the holder, wherein an optical axis of each of the plurality of optical means is located substantially equidistant from the rotation axis, and the optical means for focusing the beam of light onto the optical storage medium is selected by pivotally moving the movable unit with the rotation means.

Optical-system driving device effecting switchover between objective lenses for achieving focal spots

An objective lens driving device includes a lens holder () holding an objective lens (), a stationary part () that supports the lens holder () via wires (), an electromagnetic coil (--) provided on the lens holder, and a magnet () provided on the stationary part and magnetized in a multipolar manner so that different magnetic pole surfaces are arranged on a surface of the magnet facing the electromagnetic coil. The lens holder has a convex portion (--) on a surface thereof facing the magnet. The convex portion has at least one groove (--) portion extending parallel to a direction of magnetic flux lines of the magnet facing the convex portion, and at least a surface of the convex portion is formed of material having magnetic property.

Objective lens driving device and optical pickup device

An optical pickup device includes an objective lens () for focusing a light flux onto an information layer of a disk-shaped medium, an objective lens driving unit that drives the objective lens () in a focus servo direction and in a tracking servo direction, a correction lens () disposed on the same optical axis as the objective lens (), and a correction lens driving unit that drives the correction lens () in the same direction as the focus servo direction to control the condition of the light flux incident on the objective lens.

Optical pickup device

An optical element driving apparatus includes a holder that holds a plurality of switchable optical elements for focusing light on a recording medium, a resiliently deformable supporting unit that supports the holder, a focusing driving unit that drives the holder in a direction of optical axes of the optical elements, and a tracking driving unit that drives the holder in a tracking direction perpendicular to the direction of the optical axes. The switching of the optical elements is performed by moving the holder by means of the tracking driving unit, so as to select one of the optical elements that focuses light on the recording medium.

Optical element driving apparatus

A lens driving device according to the present invention includes a mounting base; a collimation lens that is engaged with the mounting base and movable in optical axis directions; and a driving source that moves the collimation lens in the optical axis directions, and the mounting base includes a fulcrum section with which, when the driving device is mounted on a base, a pitch angle and a roll angle of the driving device are adjusted with respect to the base and the optical axis.

A light wavefront measuring apparatus () includes a separating element () for separating a flux of light which exits from an optical head () into a first beam and a second beam, a first interference fringe display section () for displaying interference fringes formed from the first beam, a Dove prism () for rotating a wavefront of the second beam around its optical axis (AX), and a second interference fringe display section () for displaying interference fringes formed from the second beam which passed through it. In adjustment of the light source device, position of a collimator () in the optical head () is adjusted in optical axis direction so as to approximate the interference fringe patterns displayed in the interference fringe display sections () each other.
