Disclosed are a production process of a display device, which can prevent the oxidation of a lower electrode and can maintain luminescence efficiency, high contract, and durability, and a display element. The display element comprises a first electrode, a luminescent layer, a second electrode, and a transparent substrate. The first electrode comprises a metal layer and a corrosion-resistant charge injection accelerating layer. The corrosion-resistant charge injection accelerating layer has been formed by subjecting a surface layer in the metal layer to plasma treatment using an oxygen atom-containing gas.

An organic EL element which has no layer that prevents penetration of holes and electrons to the counter electrode. The organic EL element includes: an anode, a hole injecting and transporting layer formed on the anode, a light emitting layer formed on the hole injecting and transporting layer, an electron injecting and transporting layer formed on the light emitting layer, and a cathode formed on the electron injecting and transporting layer. Organic electroluminescence element

A main object of the present invention is to provide an organic EL element which can ease damages of an organic EL layer upon formation of an electrode layer, and enables display of a high quality image. The present invention attains the above object by providing an organic electroluminescent element comprising: a substrate; a first electrode layer formed on the substrate; an organic electroluminescent layer which is formed on the first electrode layer, and has at least a light emitting layer; a semiconductor buffer layer which is formed on the organic electroluminescent layer, and contains an inorganic compound having a band gap of 2.0 eV or more and a metal; and a second electrode layer formed on the semiconductor buffer layer.

Organic electroluminescent element

A main object of the present invention is to provide an organic electronic device which has a high charge injection property by lowering a charge injection barrier between an electrode and an organic layer, and a layer having a charge injection function of which can be formed by a wet film forming method, and a method for producing the same. In order to attain the object, the present invention provides an organic electronic device comprising a substrate, two or more electrodes facing each other disposed on the substrate and at least one organic layer disposed between two electrodes among the electrodes, wherein a layer containing a reactive organic compound and/or a reaction product thereof is disposed between at least one electrode and an organic layer containing a charge injection transporting material, or at least one electrode and/or an organic layer containing a charge injection transporting material disposed adjacent to the electrode, contains a reactive organic compound and/or a reaction product thereof, and a method for producing the same.

Organic electronic device and method for producing the same

An organic electroluminescent image display apparatus capable of displaying a high-quality image wherein light is taken out from a cathode layer side of an upper surface is described. The organic electroluminescent image display apparatus includes an anode layer, an organic layer, a barrier conductive layer having optical transparency, and a cathode layer having the optical transparency successively disposed on a substrate. The barrier conductive layer contains a metal, an inorganic nitride, and/or an inorganic oxide. Alternatively, the organic electroluminescent image display apparatus includes an anode layer, an organic layer, a first cathode layer having optical transparency, an electron transport protective layer having the optical transparency, and a second cathode layer having the optical transparency successively disposed on a substrate. The electron transport protective layer contains an alkali metal and/or an alkali earth metal in an electron transporting organic material.
