A drive apparatus of a synchronous motor includes a current detecting unit that detects a phase current flowing to the synchronous motor and a magnetic pole position estimating unit that estimates a magnetic pole position of a rotor of the synchronous motor. The magnetic pole position estimating unit includes a first peak-to-peak detector that detects a first peak-to-peak value representing a difference between a maximum value and a minimum value of the phase current, a quadrature component detector that detects a quadrature component of the phase current, and a second peak-to-peak detector that detects a second peak-to-peak value representing a difference between a maximum value and a minimum value of the quadrature component. The magnetic pole position estimating unit calculates a first magnetic pole position and estimates an initial magnetic pole position of the rotor, based on the first magnetic pole position.

Pulsating current (ripple) is generated in a zero-phase current to increase a loss. A motor control system includes an inverter which drives a motor which includes windings separately wound around each phase and an inverter control unit which generates an output voltage pulse corresponding to each phase to control the inverter on the basis of a torque command value and a rotor position of the motor. The inverter control unit divides the output voltage pulse of at least one phase of the output voltage pulses into several pulses during one period of the output voltage pulse such that a zero-phase voltage of only one of positive and negative polarities is output several times from the motor in the one pulse period.

Motor drive device

A motor is driven while suppressing drive torque ripple generated by the motor, when any of the phases is opened during the driving of the motor. A motor drive device controls the driving of a motor in which the armature windings of respective phases are independently provided. The motor drive device is equipped with: an inverter circuit for converting the DC power supplied through DC bus lines to three-phase AC powers and respectively outputting the three-phase AC powers to the armature windings of the respective phases; and a controller for controlling the inverter circuit. When any of the phases is opened in the AC powers output from the inverter circuit, the controller adjusts the difference between the phases of the respective currents flowing through the armature windings of normal phases so that the AC powers of the other normal phases except the opened phase are compensated each other.

Motor drive control device

An object of the present invention is to reduce an overcurrent of an inverter and a motor. A control device for an electric motor in which windings of respective phases are independently connected, the control device for the electric motor uses a zero-phase current calculation means for calculating a zero-phase current based on detection values of currents of the respective phases flowing in the electric motor and a position of a rotor of the electric motor to control a current flowing in the electric motor such that a vector sum of a drive current and the zero-phase current is equal to or lower than a predetermined current.

A power conversion device includes a power switching circuit that has a plurality of series circuits in each of which a switching element that operates as an upper arm and a switching element that operates as a lower arm are connected in series, and a control circuit that generates control signals for controlling the continuity or discontinuity of the switching elements, and, if the relationship between the state of a switching element in a control cycle and the state of the switching element in the next control cycle is a discontinuous relationship, that additionally performs control to make the switching element continuous or discontinuous on the basis of the state of the switching element in the control cycle and the state of the switching element in the next control cycle.

Power conversion device

An object of the present invention is to provide a motor control apparatus that can perform an abnormality diagnosis of current sensors and achieve cost reduction. When the outputs from three current sensors, which detect individual phase currents of a 3-phase AC current supplied from an inverter to a 3-phase AC motor, indicate that the sum of the individual phase currents of the 3-phase AC current is greater than a predetermined value, a sensor abnormality judgment unit of a motor control unit judges that one of the three current sensors is abnormal. The sensor abnormality judgment unit identifies an abnormal current sensor, which is one of the three current sensors, and performs calculations in accordance with the remaining two normal current sensors to output the current in the phase detected by the abnormal current sensor.

Motor control apparatus

A state detecting system which can detect state of power storage at high precision even with lesser characteristic data to be used for calculation, and a device employing the same. The state detecting system has a memory for storing a characteristic data, calculation information, and set information, an arithmetic unit for calculating state information indicative of state of said power storage and calculating correction information for performing correction, a first correcting unit for correcting input of said arithmetic means, and a second correcting unit for correcting information stored or set in the storage.

State detecting system and device employing the same

An apparatus for steadily and efficiently controlling a synchronous motor is equipped with a function for generating dq-axis current commands so that the terminal voltage of the synchronous motor may not exceed the voltage which a power converter can output even at a current transition time, a current control function for correcting a fluctuation of a D.C. input voltage, and a function for eliminating the D.C. input power to zero when performing field weakening control. The dq-axis current command generator is so built as to retrieve current command tables listing high-efficiency data in advance by torque commands and rotational speeds of the synchronous motor. There are a plurality of current command tables converting maximum terminal voltages of the synchronous motor. A means is provided to select an optimum one of said current command tables according to the D.C. input voltage. In this case, a value obtained by subtracting a preset value from the D.C. input voltage is used for this selection of an optimum current command table.

Control method and system for electric rotary machine

A control apparatus of an electric motor vehicle includes a device for operating an initial magnetic pole location based on three phase magnetic pole location signal pulses of a permanent magnet electric motor upon starting the electric motor vehicle, a device for operating a magnetic pole phase of the permanent magnet electric motor on the basis of the initial magnetic pole location, a rotation pulse of the permanent magnet electric motor, and a correction value which are operated with the rise and fall of the three phase magnetic pole location signal pulse after the starting, a device for determining a current to be supplied into the permanent magnet electric motor based on the magnetic pole phase and a torque reference value, and a device for correcting the magnetic pole phase when a predetermined one of the three phase magnetic pole location signal pulses rises or falls. In such an apparatus, as the magnetic pole phase is revised on the basis of the magnetic pole location signal of any one phase among the three phase magnetic pole location signals, the revising frequency of the magnetic pole phase becomes low and the microcomputer processing burden when the magnetic pole phase correction device operates in a high-speed rotation can be reduced.
