A steering apparatus includes first and second electric motors that rotate a steering shaft via speed reduction mechanisms, and the motors being disposed to face each other. The first electric motor, a first motor pulley, a second motor pulley and the second electric motor are arranged in order in a rotation axis direction. When a first system electric actuator (including a first nut and the first electric motor) and a second system electric actuator (including a second nut and the second electric motor) are provided to the common steering shaft, in a first axis direction, the first and second nuts can be arranged close to each other, reducing sizes of the peripheries of the nuts.

Steering apparatus

A steering device includes: a steering mechanism including a steering shaft, and a transmitting mechanism; and a controller including a first hydraulic passage state judging section, a first electric motor control section, and a second electric motor control section; the first hydraulic passage state judging section configured to judge a state of the hydraulic fluid in a first hydraulic passage in which the hydraulic fluid discharged from the first pump flows, the first electric motor control section configured to control and drive the first electric motor based on a driving state of a vehicle, and the second electric motor control section configured to increase a rotation number of the second electric motor when the first hydraulic passage state judging section judges that a supply of the hydraulic fluid in the first hydraulic passage is deficient.

Steering device

A steering device includes: a first steering mechanism including a first ball nut steering, and a first motor actuator, the first ball nut steering including a first output shaft, a first ball screw, and a first transmitting mechanism, the first motor actuator arranged to provide a rotation force to the first output shaft, a second steering mechanism including a second ball nut steering, and a second motor actuator, the second ball nut steering including a second output shaft, a second ball screw, and a second transmitting mechanism, the second motor actuator arranged to provide a rotation force to the second output shaft, a connection member arranged to connect the first transmitting mechanism and the second transmitting mechanism so as to interlock a movement of the first transmitting mechanism and a movement of the second transmitting mechanism.

Provided is an actuator for a steering system, which can be increased in degree of freedom for design change, regardless of a configuration change of a hydraulic power steering side. The actuator for a steering system comprises a transmission mechanism configured to transmit the rotation of a steering shaft to a steered wheel, a piston disposed in the transmission mechanism, and a pair of pressure chambers configured to generate a force acting to move the piston. The actuator for a steering system is disposed between a hydraulic power steering system, which imparts a steering force to the steered wheel along with the movement of the piston, and a steering wheel. The actuator for a steering system includes an input shaft which is rotatably and axially supported by the housing and disposed in the steering wheel side; an output shaft which is rotatably and axially supported by the housing and disposed in the hydraulic power steering system; a torsion bar connecting the input shaft and the output shaft; a motor rotor disposed around the outer periphery of the output shaft within the housing and configured to rotate integrally with the output shaft; a motor stator disposed around the outer periphery of the motor rotor within the housing; and a rotation angle detecting section disposed within the housing and configured to detect the rotation angles of the input and output shafts or a relative angle of the input and output shafts.

Actuator for steering system

Power steering apparatus

Power steering device

A power steering device is provided with a device body and a hollow motor. The device body has a steering system in which a piston is disposed on an output shaft via a ball screw mechanism so that a steering (rotational) torque is transmitted from an input shaft to the output shaft and converted to rotation of a sector shaft by axial movement of the piston for steering of steerable wheels. The hollow motor is connected to the outer circumference of the input shaft and driven by energization control based on driving support information from a vehicle-mounted camera and the like. A key and a key groove are provided on the outer circumference of the input shaft and the inner circumference of a rotor of the hollow motor, respectively, so as to constitute a key connection between the input shaft and the hollow motor.

Power-steering device

Disclosed is a power steering system comprising: a control valve disposed in the steering mechanism to selectably supply a working liquid supplied from a first pump or a second pump to a pair of pressure chambers of a power cylinder providing a steering force for at least one steered wheel in accordance with a rotational steering operation of a steering wheel; a first switching valve disposed between the first pump and the control valve to switch a communication and an interruption of the working liquid between the first pump and the control valve; and a second switching valve disposed between the second pump and the control valve to switch the communication and the interruption of the working liquid between the second pump and the control valve, a communication state and an interruption state being selectably formed in the second switching valve when the first switching valve is in the communication state.

Power steering system

A motor control apparatus including: a motor including a rotating member and a stator; a housing member including a motor housing portion and a power system substrate housing portion, the motor housing portion enclosing the motor and extending in an axial direction of the rotating member, the power system substrate housing portion being integrally formed with the motor housing portion and being located is radially outside of the motor; a control system board supporting a component of a control circuit to control the motor, and including a first board portion facing the motor in the axial direction, and a second board portion extending radially from the first board portion; and a power system substrate supporting a component of a power supply circuit to supply power to the motor, the power system substrate being provided in the power system substrate housing portion.

Motor control apparatus, power steering apparatus and brake control apparatus

An electric power steering apparatus including: a power system board which is received in a housing, which supports a component of a power supply circuit to supply power to a motor; a control system board which is received in the housing, which supports a component of a control circuit to control the motor, and which extends radially with respect to an axis of the motor output shaft; a rotation sensor which is provided in the housing, which is located, in an axial direction of a motor output shaft, between the motor and the control system board, and which is arranged to sense a rotational position of the motor output shaft; and an output terminal which is provided with the rotation sensor, which is connected electrically with the control system board to supply a rotational position signal of the rotation sensor to the control circuit.

A steering apparatus includes an axle housing rotatably supporting a wheel hub on which a steered road wheel is installed, and a lower suspension-system control arm adapted to be oscillatingly supported at one end on a vehicle body and having a turning portion provided at the other end for pivotably supporting the axle housing by the turning portion. An electric motor is installed on the lower arm for turning the axle housing by a driving force produced by the motor. A rotation axis of the motor and a pivot of the axle housing are arranged to be offset from each other.

A motor control apparatus includes a motor, and a control system board supporting a control circuit to control the motor. The apparatus may further include a power system board supporting a power supply circuit to supply power to the motor. The control system board includes a first board portion facing in a direction along a rotation axis of the motor, and a second board portion extending radially from the first board portion.

An electric power steering system, includes a torque sensor disposed to a steering shaft to detect a steering torque. A first pinion is disposed to the steering shaft. A rack shaft is in mesh with the first pinion and connected with the steering shaft to change a rotational motion of the steering shaft to an axial motion of the rack shaft and provided to be operated in relation to the steering shaft. A first motor is connected with the first pinion to generate a steering assist torque in accordance with the steering torque detected by the torque sensor. A second pinion is disposed to be separate from the first pinion and in mesh with the rack shaft. A second motor is connected with the second pinion to generate a steering assist torque in accordance with the steering torque. A first control circuit is provided on a first control board for the first motor. A second control circuit is provided on the second control board for the second motor. The first control circuit monitors an abnormality in control state of the second control circuit and the second control circuit monitors an abnormality in control of the first control circuit.

Electric power steering system

An electric motor for driving an oil pressure pump which feeds pressurized oil to a power cylinder comprises a brushless d.c. motor. An onboard main battery comprises a main battery which is onboard an electrically driven vehicle and which is constructed as a high tension d.c. voltage source delivering a high voltage on the order of 96 to 600V. The battery is directly connected to the motor, and a controller is connected therebetween to provide a pulse width modulated variable voltage signal to the motor from the battery.

Power steering apparatus with pump driven by pulse width modulated

A electric motor, which drives a fluid pressure pump used to derive a steering assist force, is controlled in a required manner using a simplified arrangement. Specifically, a pump 11 which feeds a fluid pressure in order to produce an assist force is driven by a D.C. brushless motor 11 which is provided with means 18 for detecting a rotational position of a rotor 23 thereof. Motor control means 14, 15 drives and controls the motor to rotate at a given number of revolutions. Vehicle speed detecting means 16 detects a running speed of a vehicle. The motor control means controls the number of revolutions of the brushless motor on the basis of information representing a vehicle speed, a number of revolutions of the rotor which is determined by utilizing a signal from the rotor position detecting means, and information from means which detect a steer angle and a steering angular rate.
