A connector includes a housing, two reinforcing brackets that are incorporated in both respective end portions in a longitudinal direction of the housing, and terminals that are arranged on and held by the housing between the two reinforcing brackets. The housing includes an island-shaped portion, a peripheral wall, and an accommodating concave portion that is formed between the peripheral wall and the island-shaped portion so as to accommodate a fitting portion of a mating connector. Each of the reinforcing brackets includes a protection portion, a guide portion, and a spring strip. The spring strip is formed in a cantilever shape, and the spring strip is positioned on an inner side compared to the protection portion in the longitudinal direction of the housing. A concave portion that allows elastic deformation of the spring strip is formed on a side surface of the island-shaped portion.

Connector

A connector includes a housing extending in a predetermined direction intersecting the fitting direction, a plurality of contacts held by the housing and arrayed along the predetermined direction, and a reinforcing member held at an end portion of the housing in the predetermined direction and made of a metal material, the reinforcing member having a first member and a second member, the first member including a first reinforcing portion extending in a U-shape along the end portion of the housing when viewed in the fitting direction, and a connecting portion connected to the first reinforcing portion and electrically connected to a counter reinforcing member of the counter connector, the second member being formed as a separate component from the first member and including a second reinforcing member extending in a U-shape along the first reinforcing portion when viewed in the fitting direction.

Electrical connector

A connector is mountable on a circuit board and mateable with a mating connector along a mating direction. The connector comprises a contact, a housing, an enclosing portion and a coupling portion. The housing holds the contact. The enclosing portion encloses an outer circumference of the housing in a plane perpendicular to the mating direction. The coupling portion directly or indirectly couples the enclosing portion with the housing so as to allow the enclosing portion to move along the mating direction relative to the housing.

A connector comprises a housing and a terminal. The housing has a terminal accommodation portion and a bottom portion. The terminal accommodation portion opens upward in an up-down direction. The bottom portion is positioned under the terminal accommodation portion. The terminal has a base portion, a spring portion and a contact portion. The base portion is embedded in and held by the bottom portion. The spring portion extends upward from the base portion and is accommodated in the terminal accommodation portion. The contact portion is supported by the spring portion. The base portion is enclosed by the bottom portion in a predetermined plane perpendicular to the up-down direction and is in contact with the bottom portion with no gap in the predetermined plane. When the connector is seen from below, the base portion is partially visible, but the terminal accommodation portion is invisible.
