The present invention has an object to provide a recording and reproducing device which can be used both for a cartridge disk (6) and for a cartridge-less disk (3) and reduced in size and weight, and which is capable of aligning a cartridge-less disk (3). A disk holder (14) adapted to set a cartridge disk (6) therein is provided on one and the other sides thereof with positioning means adapted to abut against a cartridge-less disk (3) set in the disk holder (14) to prevent it from moving to the innermost region R of the disk holder (14) and align it in a position corresponding to a rotational driving device (9), said positioning means being in the form of a CD stopper (20) and a step (30) formed in a shutter opener lever (19), thereby supporting and aligning the disk (3).

Recording and reproducing device

The disclosure is concerned with a housing for a recording disc and a device for inserting the housing accommodating a recording disc on a recording/reproducing apparatus thereby avoiding direct contact of the operator's hand with the recording disc. The housing has a carrier or base plate for carrying the recording disc and a flexible cover fixed at one end to the carrier plate, the cover being adapted to cover the recording disc mounted on the carrier plate. The arrangement is such that the flexible cover is automatically taken off the carrier plate during insertion of the housing to bring the recording disc to its recording/reproducing position.

Device for loading a recording disc in a recording reproducing apparatus

A recording-reproducing system comprising a flexible jacket containing a record disk, a turn table rotating said record disk, an engaging means engaged to one end of said record disk in said jacket, a stopping means for restricting only the movement of said record disk, and a thrust means for transferring said jacket, whereby said record disk can be taken out of said jacket within the reproducing system.
