A process for producing a metal evaporated article, which includes a metallization step of evaporating a metal and depositing the evaporated metal onto a continuously running substrate and an auxiliary material deposition step of evaporating an auxiliary material contained in an evaporator and depositing the evaporated auxiliary material onto the continuously running substrate, before or after the metallization step, comprising the steps of detecting the pressure of the atmosphere where the auxiliary material evaporated from the evaporator exists, and controlling the evaporation condition of the auxiliary material in the evaporator based on the information concerning the detected pressure.

Method for producing a metal evaporated article

A yarn winding apparatus having a traverse guide to catch a yarn and traverse it in an axial direction of a bobbin onto which the yarn is taken and a pair of yarn release guides which, located inside of and in the vicinity of both ends of the full traverse stroke Wo corresponding to the full width Wp of a yarn package, can go into or out of the path of the yarn. The traverse guide may be either a cam traverser or a rotary blade traverser. The yarn winding is done by repeating the step of repeatedly traversing the yarn over a full traverse stroke Wo and the step of repeatedly traversing the yarn over a narrow traverse stroke W narrower than the full traverse stroke Wo. In the step of traversing over a narrow traverse stroke W, while the yarn is moving from a mid-stroke position toward one end of the full traverse stroke and before the yarn reaches the one end, the yarn is released from the traverse guide, and then while the released yarn is moving toward the other end of the full traverse stroke, the yarn is again caught by the traverse guide and driven toward the the other end. By this winding, excessive winding at both ends of the yarn package can be eliminated.

Yarn winding apparatus

An improved turret type yarn winding apparatus provided with means for regulating a running yarn passage when the bobbin change operation is carried out. This yarn passage regulating means is capable of utilizing for the conventional turret type yarn winding apparatus. When the full size yarn package is displaced from the winding position to the stand-by position while a fresh bobbin is displaced to the stand-by position to the winding position, the running yarn is firstly shifted to a position outside the traverse motion of the traverse mechanism, and thus shifted running yarn is forced to pass along a predetermined yarn passage maintained by the above-mentioned yarn passage regulating means so that the running yarn can be assuredly caught by a yarn catching means rotated together with the spindle whereon a fresh bobbin is mounted, at the winding position.
