A roller head extruder unit includes an extruder unit, a pair of calender rollers arranged forward of an exit opening of the extruder unit and supported for rotation by a support frame mounted securely with respect to the extruder unit, and side guides arranged on either side of a space between the exit opening of the extruder unit and the calender rollers to thereby define a bank into which material for rolling is extruded. At least one of the upper and lower rollers is mounted for rotation in a roller housing supported by the support frame for limited movement in a direction perpendicular to the axis of the upper and lower rollers. The roller head extruder unit also includes a detection device for detecting the force with which this roller housing is caused to move as a result of accumulation of material in the bank.

Roller head extruder unit

In a cone type twin screw extruder, two rotor shafts are disposed in such a manner as to approach one another in the direction towards the leading edge, and to be rotatable. An interlocking device is provided on the side of the base portions of the rotor shafts for interlockingly connecting the rotor shafts with each other. The interlocking device has a pair of reduction gear devices disposed on the base portion sides of the rotor shafts, and the reduction gear is constituted of a spur gear train or a planetary gear train. High speed shafts of the reduction gears are interlockingly connected with bevel gear devices, and one shaft of the bevel gear device forms a connecting shaft projecting from the other bevel gear device side. Further, a pair of the connecting shafts are interlockingly connected with each other by a coupling device.

A central mechanism in a tire vulcanizing press including a shaping bladder, a hot pressure supply source, an upper bladder clamp supporting center post, a lower bladder clamp supporting post through which is inserted the center post vertically movably, a mechanism for vertically independently moving both posts, and a latch mechanism for preventing the descent of the support post during vulcanizing press for a tire, the latch mechanism being driven selectively in opening and closing directions relative to the support post by means of a latch opening/closing device, the latch opening/closing device including a drive mechanism capable of moving vertically along a vertical axis, member for converting a vertical linear motion of the drive, a mechanism into a rotational motion around the vertical axis and means for transmitting the thus -obtained rotational motion to the latch mechanism. A lower portion of a housing well which surrounds the support post is closed with two upper and lower partition walls which are interconnected in a vertically spaced relation to each other and the space between the partition walls is filled with a heat insulator, and a cylindrical heat insulating structure which surrounds the housing well is attached to the base side of the vulcanizing press.

A tire vulcanizer which includes a lower mold assembly secured to a press base, an upper mold assembly held movably up and down on a press side frame and provided to be opened and closed with respect to the lower mold assembly, a molding bladder expansible with respect to a center mechanism of the lower mold assembly and pressurized heating medium supplying means, wherein for maintaining a parallelism of the upper and lower mold assemblies, a torsion shaft for maintaining the parallelism which is movable up and down and rotatable about an axis in synchronism with the upper mold assembly is mounted at a position parallel to the press base, at a right angle to the side frame and not interfering with the upper and lower mold assemblies.

Tire vulcanizer

An apparatus for feeding sheet-like rubber material one after another in the form of cut pieces of a predetermined length and shape to a forming drum from a stock roll of the rubber material, the apparatus including: a first transfer member having a conveying surface on the upper side thereof; a second transfer member having a conveying surface on the underside thereof and disposed in series and lapped relation with the first transfer member with a gap formed therebetween being slightly greater than the thickness of the rubber material; a cutter located across the first transfer member for cutting the rubber material on the conveying surface of the first transfer member along a predetermined cutting line; and a drive mechanism for driving the first and second transfer members in relation with rotation of the forming drum; the lapped portions of the first and second transfer members being arranged to transfer the rubber material along a line conforming with the cutting line; the second transfer member except for the rear lapped portion thereof being rockable toward the forming drum located in front of the fore end of the second transfer member for bringing a transferred cut piece of the rubber material into a position suitable for wrapping the cut piece around the circumference of the drum.
