The table on which a workpiece is put can travel on a guide rail mechanism relative to a working head with a cutting tool mounted thereon. The table is connected through a nut to a ball screw part to move in an axial direction thereof as the ball screw part rotates. One end of the ball screw part is supported by a bearing and the other end is connected to a servomotor to be rotationally driven. A hollow part is provided in the table to receive therein a damper mechanism part, which comprises a spring, a damper, and a weight, the table and the weight being arranged to enable traveling separately on guide rails. Thereby, even when the workpiece is heavy, the weight can move relative to the table to effectively damp vibrations of the table in a feed direction.

Machine tool

An oscillating piston type compressor has a piston formed integral with a blade. The compressor accommodates in a casing a compression mechanism section and a motor section, the mechanism including the piston having a plate-shaped blade integrally formed on a cylindrical portion is fitted onto an eccentric portion of a crankshaft to perform orbital motion relative to an inner peripheral surface of a cylinder, the plate-shaped blade being formed at its radial end surface with a recess or a protrusion, which serves as a reference of position.

Oscillating piston type compressor and method of manufacturing piston thereof

A scroll compressor, in which as a coolant is applied a mixture coolant obtained by mixing at least one or more kinds selected from a group of hydro fluoro carbon, within a closed container thereof, comprising: an electricmotor; a rotary scroll driven with said electric motor; and a stationary scroll, whereby forming a scroll compression mechanism between said rotary scroll for compressing said coolant, wherein said scroll compression mechanism comprises: Oldham ring for supporting said rotary scroll so that said rotary scroll perform a gyrating movement with respect to said stationary scroll without spinning around an axis thereof; and a frame for supporting said Oldham ring in movable manner for purpose of achieving supporting of said rotary scroll mentioned above, wherein said Oldham ring is formed from sintered alloy of iron group, while said frame and said rotary scroll are formed from cast iron, and after treating a steam process thereon, a sliding surface of said Oldham ring is machined by means of an end mill.

Scroll compressor

A scroll compressor has an Oldhams ring made of sintered metal operating as a rotation-prevention mechanism for holding the rotation scroll. The Oldhams ring is formed to a size to accommodate the cutting work or the grinding work of the surface processing during the forming of the sintered metal, and, as a result, the productivity of the Oldhams ring can be improved and the wear resistance becomes excellent. A scroll compressor that is inexpensive and has a high reliability may be made of a hard sintered metal which has an excellent wear resistance. A first groove 3a and the second groove 3b are formed in the end face 3 of the ring 2 of the Oldhams ring into the sintered metal. And, after the processing, the first groove 3a is deepest, and the depth is progressively reduced in order of the second groove 3b and the end face 3 in the Oldhams ring. The wear on the corner part of the tool, which is easiest to wear being used to process the side face of the keys is reduced due to the presence of these grooves.

Disclosed is a method of working a semi-finished scroll member for a scroll compressor which has a circular end plate having a first end face and a second end face with a spiral wrap extending therefrom. Before the second end face and the wrap are machined, the outer peripheral surface of the end plate is formed therein with a circumferencial groove to provide jaw finger engaging surfaces spaced from the first and second end faces of the end plate. Then, radial grooves are formed in the outer periphery of the end plate such that each groove extends between and is open in one of the jaw finger engaging surfaces and in the first end face of the end plate. Thereafter, the semi-finished scroll member is positioned relative to a machine tool such that the first axial end face of the end plate is placed adjacent a back-up member of the machine tool. Then, jaw fingers of the machine tool are moved into engagement with the jaw finger engaging surfaces of the semi-finished scroll member, respectively, and are further moved axially of the machine tool toward the back-up member until the first axial end face of the end plate is urged against the back-up plate, whereby the semi-finished scroll member is firmly fixed to the machine tool and ready for machining of the second axial end face of the end plate and of the spiral wrap thereon.

Method of working scroll member of scroll compressor

A closed type motor-driven compressor includes a motor accommodated in a closed container and a compression mechanism connected through a crank shaft to the motor. A shielding member having a cylindrical portion substantially concentric with the axis of the compression mechanism is disposed between the motor and the compression mechanism. This shielding member defines a shielding air space between the motor and the compression mechanism for preventing a permeation of a lubricating oil. An inlet of a discharge pipe of the closed type motor-driven compressor is positioned inwardly of this shielding air space.
