A direct current machine is characterized in that each of field poles and an armature are formed to satisfy a condition that an internal peripheral width Wa of each auxiliary pole is equal to or greater than a distal end width Wt of each tooth and equal to or less than twice a distal end width Ws of each slot plus the distal end width of each tooth (Wt.ltoreq.Wa.ltoreq.2Ws+Wt). The D.C. machine also is characterized in that each of the field poles and the armature are formed to satisfy a condition that an inner peripheral width Wm of the permanent magnet is equal to or greater than twice a slot pitch Wp of the armature core and equal to or less than twice the slot pitch Wp plus the distal end width Wt of each tooth (2Wp.ltoreq.Wm.ltoreq.2Wp+Wt).

D.C. machine of type having permanent magnets with auxiliary poles

A novel DC rotary electric machine of permanent magnet field type is disclosed, in which a plurality of permanent field magnets having an auxiliary pole of magnetic material are arranged alternately with a plurality of field magnets including only a magnetic material along the peripheral direction. The field magnets with the auxiliary poles are arranged adjacently with the field magnets of magnetic material with through bolts extending therebetween.

DC rotary electric machine of permanent magnet field type

An armature is formed by laminating cores having through window portions which are provided in the vicinity of the surface on the slot open sides of tooth portions. The through window portions have partly opened portions, respectively. Coils are wound in slots of the laminated core. By pressing the through window portions, cut-open portions of the slot are deformed to provide outwardly curved projecting portions spaced from the coils to prevent the slipping-out of the coils.

A method of manufacturing an armature of an electric rotary machine comprising the step of: fixedly attaching an armature core to a shaft which is a constituent component of the armature; winding armature coils in slots formed in the outer circumference of the armature core, the lower and upper lead-out portions of the armature coils being axially extended to a commutator arrangement space where a commutator is to be arranged; welding the respective end portions of each pair of the upper and lower lead-out end portions so as to join the upper and lower lead-out end portions in each pair with each other under the condition that the upper and lower lead-out end portions in each pair are arranged vertically one on the other and parallelly to each other while securing concave portions at the welding-joined portions to thereby form each of commutator segment portions; arranging the commutator segment portions in alignment at predetermined intervals circumferentially around the shaft; and molding and fixedly attaching an annular resin-molding body which will be made to be a body of commutator at the commutator arrangement space around the shaft in a manner so that the commutator segment portions are fixedly embedded in the annular resin-molding body, that the outer peripheral portions of the commutator segment portions are exposed from the outer circumference of the annular resin-molding body to enable a commutator brush to slidably contact with the outer peripheral portions of the commutator segment portions, and that the concave portions provided at the welding-joined portions of the commutator segment portions are filled with the resin of the annular resin-molding body.

Method of manufacturing armature of electric rotary machine

A DC electric motor which comprises: a reversibly rotatable rotor having an armature core, an armature winding and a commutator; a stator having a yoke and a plurality of field poles provided on an inner circumference of the yoke and each having a permanent magnet and an auxiliary pole; and brush means including a plurality of brushes arranged to be slidably electrically conductively in contact with the commutator; in which the auxiliary pole of each of the field poles is disposed at an exit side of the field pole in the normal foward rotating direction of the rotor; each of the brushes is held movably between a first position corresponding to a position near a geometrically neutral point between a pair of adjacent field poles and a second position corresponding to a position separated at the maximum by an electrical angle of 90 degrees from the geometrically neutral point reversely to the normal rotating direction, and each of the brushes is fixed in the vicinity of the second position in normal use.

DC Electric motor having field poles of permanent magnet

A permanent magnet field DC machine comprises a rotor and a stator. The rotor comprises an armature core (3), an armature winding (4), and a commutator (2). The stator comprises a yoke (7), permanent magnets (8) disposed on the inner periphery of the yoke (7), and magnetic pole pieces (9) interposed between the yoke (7) and a portion of each magnetic pole (8). The magnetic pole pieces (8) are made of a material the permeability of which is greater than that of the permanent magnets.

A miniature electric rotating machine has a stator equipped with a field pole on a peripheral circle of a rotor, and the field pole is constituted by a permanent magnet. Each permanent magnet of a miniature electric rotating machine of this type can be divided into a magnetizing side and a demagnetizing side with respect to armature reaction. In the permanent magnet of the present invention, an end portion on the demagnetizing side, which has directivity different from the magnetizing directions on the magnetizing and demagnetizing sides, is disposed adjacent to the portion on the demagnetizing side.
