An easy-open end which is excellent from the standpoint of sanitation and environmental friendliness yet satisfying both the close adhesion and the scratch resistance despite of using a bisphenol A-free primer. The easy-open end has a polyester film applied, via a primer, onto the inner surface of the end of an aluminum base sheet forming a surface-treating layer that contains a zirconium compound and/or a titanium compound and an organic compound, wherein the primer contains a polyester resin that contains not less than 30% by weight of a carboxyl group-introduced polyester resin, and a phenol resin at a weight ratio of 50:50 to 85:15.

Easy-open end

An easy open end comprising a resin-coated metal plate obtained by coating a metal substrate with a polyester film via a primer, wherein the primer comprises an epoxy resin or a polyester resin and a resole-type phenol resin, and the resole-type phenol resin has 0.2 to 2.0 methylol groups per a benzene ring. The end can be lightly opened without causing defect at the time of opening the end by pushing in the end of a tab and cutting the score and, particularly, can be excellently opened at high temperatures without arousing the problem even in a state of being heated at high temperatures featuring excellent corrosion resistance, resistance against the content and retort resistance.

Easy open ends that can be favorably opened at high temperatures

The present invention provides a resin coated seamless aluminum can and a resin coated aluminum can lid having adhesiveness and corrosion resistance by applying a non-chromium chemical conversion coated film to an aluminum alloy sheet and by applying an organic resin layer to the non-chromium chemical conversion coated film. For this end, an organic-inorganic composite surface treated layer containing 2 to 20 mg/mof zirconium compound expressed in terms of zirconium atoms, 1 to 10 mg/mof phosphorus compound expressed in terms of phosphorus atoms, and 5 to 60 mg/mof organic compound expressed in terms of carbon atoms is formed on at least one-side surface of an aluminum alloy sheet, and an organic resin coated layer is formed on the organic-inorganic composite surface treated layer.

An easy-open end comprising a resin-coated metal plate obtained by coating a metal substrate with a anti-blocking agent-containing biaxially drawn film via a primer, wherein an important feature resides in that the anti-blocking agent in the biaxially drawn film is of a spherical shape having an average particle size of 0.5 to 2.5 &#x3bc;m and an average particle size ratio (long diameter/short diameter) in a range of 1.0 to 1.2, and is contained at a ratio of 0.05 to 0.5% by weight in the biaxially drawn film. Even without forming a top-coat layer, therefore, the film is not scratched or the forming-tool is not damaged by the anti-blocking agent that adheres and deposits on the forming tool. Besides, the resin coating favorably adheres to the metal plate offering excellent advantage in production and in economy.
