A power source apparatus includes a controller that carries out horsepower control to determine a flow rate of a hydraulic pump in accordance with a discharge pressure of the hydraulic pump detected by a pump pressure determination sensor. In horsepower control, the controller determines the flow rate such that a maximum input setting for the hydraulic pump defined by the discharge pressure and the flow rate is greater than a maximum output of the engine when the discharge pressure is a first discharge pressure, gradually becomes smaller as the discharge pressure changes from the first discharge pressure towards a higher pressure, and becomes smaller than the maximum output of the engine when the discharge pressure is a second discharge pressure.

Power source apparatus and hybrid construction machine equipped with same

A controller carries out horsepower control to determine a flow rate of a hydraulic pump based on first characteristics and second characteristics, which each define a maximum input setting of the hydraulic pump by a discharge pressure of the hydraulic pump and a flow rate of the hydraulic pump, and based on the discharge pressure. When the discharge pressure is less than a set pressure and when a state where the discharge pressure is equal to or greater than the set pressure has not continued for a set time period, then the controller determines the flow rate based on the first characteristics, and when the state where the discharge pressure is equal to or greater than the set pressure has continued for the set time period, then the controller determines the flow rate based on the second characteristics.

In a hybrid working machine in which the maximum engine output is set at the average power and the maximum pump input is set to be larger than the maximum engine output in a normal state, in an abnormal state in which the level of charge of a battery decreases and assistance ability of a motor function of a power machine is lost, the minimum pump flow rate is reduced to a value equal to or smaller than a standby flow rate, the standby flow rate being the minimum pump flow rate used in normal state control, and a set value of the maximum pump input is changed such that the maximum pump input is smaller than the maximum engine output.

Hybrid working machine

As lubricating construction for a spline coupling portion for connecting a rotating shaft of a generator-motor and a rotating shaft of a hydraulic pump both actuated by an engine, a lubricating oil chamber communicating with the spline coupling portion is formed within a motor casing of the generator-motor, while in a pump casing of the hydraulic pump there is formed an oil passing hole providing communication between the lubricating oil chamber and an oil chamber in the hydraulic pump on an outer periphery side of the rotating shaft of the hydraulic pump, thereby forming an oil passage for allowing working oil present within the hydraulic pump to circulate through a route including the spline coupling portion.

Of a plurality of hydraulic signals output from an operating device, a hydraulic signal is input into a control valve serving as a hydraulic control device without conversion, and particular hydraulic signals are converted into electric signals corresponding to their hydraulic pressures by signal converting devices, such as pressure sensors, and are then input into a controller. The controller controls the drive of an electric actuator, such as a rotating electric motor, on the basis of the electric signals. Hydraulic fluid flow paths communicating to the pressure sensors are connected to each other via a throttle, and air in one of the hydraulic fluid flow paths is removed using the other hydraulic fluid flow path.

A power source device for working machines includes a hydraulic pump, a generator-motor, an engine, serving as a common power source, to which the hydraulic pump and the generator-motor are connected parallel, and a battery, serving as an electric power storage device, for storing a power thereof by the generator function of the generator-motor. The generator-motor is driven by a discharge power of the battery to perform the motor function. Using a controller, the power distribution of the engine and the generator-motor is determined based on the required actuator power, the charge power and the discharge power of the battery which are set according to the battery charge amount in such a way that the battery charge amount is maintained in a predetermined range, and on the preset engine power.

Power source device for working machine

Maximum charging power of a battery () is set by a battery-charging power setting unit (), while maximum discharging power of the battery () is set by a battery-discharging power setting unit (). Lower and upper limit of generator output power is set by a generator output power setting unit (). A generator/battery power distribution determining unit () distributes power between the battery () and the generator () using the set values above.
