An in-vehicle network system deployed in a vehicle includes a plurality of first nodes configured to perform an operation relevant to a first function in the vehicle, a second node configured to perform an operation relevant to a second function different from the first function in the vehicle; and a relay device configured to relay communication between the first nodes and the second node. The relay device is configured to start relay of communication between the first nodes earlier than the relay of communication between the first node and the second node at a time of startup.

In-vehicle network system, relay device, and method of controlling in-vehicle network system

An in-vehicle network system includes a plurality of relay devices that is connected to control devices of a vehicle, and communicates with each other and is configured such that each of a plurality of request devices that transmits a response request to the control device is connected to any one of the relay devices, a storage unit that stores a priority of the request devices, a master setter that sets, as the master, the relay device to which the request device having the highest priority has been connected among the relay devices to which any one of the request devices has been connected, and an arbitrator that performs arbitration to prioritize a response request from the request device having the highest priority when the response requests are transmitted from at least two of the request devices when the relay device in which the arbitrator is included is the master.

In-vehicle network system

An in-vehicle network system includes a plurality of controllers; a plurality of communication lines connected to the controllers, respectively, a relay device connected to the controllers via the communication lines, and a retention determiner configured to determine whether retention of data occurs in the relay device. The relay device is configured to relay data between the communication lines, and configured to preferentially relay data having a priority equal to or higher than a predetermined priority such that the data reaches the controller that is a transmission destination among the controllers within a first predetermined time when the retention determiner determines that the retention occurs.

To satisfy a required processing speed and achieve the maximum power-saving effect in a microprocessor. A control value is calculated by performing proportional and integral processing on a deviation of a target instruction execution number from a measured instruction execution number. Unification processing or unification cancellation processing is performed in accordance with the control value. The unification processing stops supply of clocks to selected pipeline registers and controls the pipeline such that a signal passes through the pipeline registers so as to reduce the number of stages of the pipeline. The unification cancellation processing resumes the supply of clocks to the selected pipeline registers and controls the pipeline such that the pipeline registers latch the signal in synchronism with the clocks so as to increase the number of stages of the pipeline. The frequency of clocks supplied to the pipeline registers is changed in accordance with the changed number of stages.
