An electric field cancellation apparatus that can reduce electric field radiation from a cathode ray tube inexpensively includes a canceling pulse generating circuit generating a pulse voltage that cancels a leaked electric field radiated from a high voltage generating circuit employed with a deflection circuit or the like. The canceling pulse voltage is superimposed upon an output voltage of the high voltage generating circuit and is applied through an anode to an aperture grill of the cathode ray tube, whereby an electric field having a phase opposite to that of the leaked electric field is radiated from the whole surface of the aperture grill, so that the leaked electric field radiated from the cathode ray tube can be canceled.

Method of and apparatus for canceling electric field

A television receiver having a video signal receiving circuit for receiving a video signal, a vertical synchronizing signal and a horizontal synchronizing signal, a signal processing circuit for supplying the video signal to a cathode ray tube, a vertical deflection circuit for supplying a vertical deflection signal to the cathode ray tube in response to the vertical synchronizing signal, a horizontal deflection circuit for supplying a horizontal deflection signal to the cathode ray tube in response to the horizontal synchronizing signal, a frequency detector circuit connected to the video signal receiving circuit for detecting the frequency of the horizontal synchronizing signal and deriving a control signal in response thereto and a control circuit connected between the frequency detector circuit and the horizontal deflection circuit for controlling the latter in response to the control signal from the former. In this case, the horizontal deflection circuit includes a circuit for changing the duty cycle of a horizontal drive pulse such that the duty cycle increases when the horizontal frequency becomes higher.

Multiple scanning type television receiver

A fly-back transformer in which its low and high voltage windings are molded integral by resin material is disclosed. In this case, a winding receiving frame having an attaching means is integrally fixed to the peripheral edge portion on the terminal side surface of the molded body.

Method of making a fly back transformer

A coil bobbin for a fly-back transformer or the like having a bobbin proper. A plurality of partition members or flanges are formed on the bobbin proper with a slot between adjacent ones. At least first and second coil units are formed in the bobbin proper, each having several slots, formed between the flanges, and first and second high voltage coils are wound on the first and second coil units in opposite directions, respectively. A rectifying means is connected in series to the first and second coil units, and a cut-off portion or recess is provided on each of the partition members. In this case, a wire lead of the coil units passes from one slot to an adjacent slot through the cut-off portion which is formed as a delta groove, and one side of the delta groove is corresponded to the tangent direction to the winding direction.

Bobbin structure for high voltage transformers

A high voltage transformer for use in a television receiver or the like having a magnetic core, a primary winding, a secondary winding and a voltage rectifier. The secondary winding is wound on a coil bobbin and a holder is attached to the coil bobbin for holding a high voltage lead at its one end portion. The high voltage lead supplies a high DC voltage from the secondary winding to a cathode ray tube of the television receiver. The holder has an elongated cylindrical portion by which the high voltage lead is resiliently supported.

High voltage transformer

A high voltage generating circuit for a television receiver which includes a horizontal oscillator and a switching circuit operating at the horizontal sweep frequency of the television receiver and being coupled to a flyback transformer which has an input resonant frequency in the vicinity of but higher than the horizontal oscillator frequency. The output of the flyback transformer is coupled to a rectifier circuit which in turn is coupled to the high voltage anode of the television receiver. The flyback transformer also has an input resonant circuit which includes a capacitor which is serially connected to the primary winding of the flyback transformer. This series resonant circuit is resonant at a frequency in the vicinity but less than the frequency of the horizontal oscillator with the result that improved voltage regulation is obtained while avoiding excess high voltage which otherwise would be caused by a shift in the output frequency of the horizontal oscillator.

High voltage generating circuit

A horizontal deflection circuit arrangement in which a saturable reactor operating as a variable impedance element is provided in the path of a horizontal deflection current flowing through a horizontal deflection coil for stabilizing the horizontal deflection current against fluctuations of the frequency of a horizontal drive signal for a horizontal output switching device, thereby to keep a suitable horizontal size of a raster made by the beam scan caused by the deflection current. The saturable reactor is supplied with a control signal varying in response to variations in the frequency of the horizontal drive signal to control the impedance thereof so as to compensate for the variations of the horizontal deflection current.
