A paint cartridge includes a baggy tank having a dual structure formed by an inner bag and an outer bag in a cylindrical body. Inside the inner bag is a paint chamber. Between the outer bag and the cylindrical body, an extruding liquid flows. A detector provided in the space between the inner bag and the outer bag is visually observable from outside the cylindrical body. In the detector, a pattern formed by using one or more materials changes due to contact with paint which leaks when the inner bag has broken or with extruding liquid which leaks when the outer bag has broken. In consequence, it is possible to detect the breakage of the inner bag and the outer bag by visually observing a change in the detector's pattern from the outside.

Paint cartridge

There is provided an air atomizing type coating apparatus which is constituted by a main body () having a first feed tube passage hole () extended forward from a cartridge mount portion (), a passage change-over mechanism () attached to the front side of the main body () to change over positions of a second feed tube passage hole () and a second wash fluid passage (), a spray nozzle () attached on the front side of the passage change-over mechanism (), and a paint cartridge () to be set in the cartridge mount portion (). Upon shifting the passage change-over mechanism () to a coating position, the first and second feed tube passage holes () and () are brought into communication with each other, a coating operation can be performed by inserting a paint cartridge (). On the other hand, upon shifting the passage change-over mechanism () to a washing position, the first and second wash fluid passages () and () are brought into communication with each other, permitting a supply of a wash fluid to the spray nozzle ().

Air atomizing type coating apparatus

A tank base () is formed of a mount block () and a feed tube (), and a first paint passage () is provided internally through the feed tube (). A baggy tank () is composed of a support member () and a bag member () having opposite ends thereof securely fixed to the support member () to define a paint chamber () therein. A second paint passage () is provided in a fore end portion (A) of the support member (). A tank accommodating case () is provided to accommodate the bag member (). The baggy tank () is set in position within the tank accommodating case () with opposite ends of the support member () gripped between the mount block () of the tank base () and the tank accommodating case (), bringing the paint chamber () into communication with the first paint passage () through the second paint passage ().
