A power controller includes: a plurality of switching elements provided in one-to-one correspondence with a plurality of power supplies, and each of which switches on or off to switch between supplying and stopping supplying a load with electric power from a corresponding one of the plurality of power supplies; a processing unit which computes an operation amount for adjusting an amount of the electric power supplied to the load; and a signal generator which determines, for each control, a switching-element count indicating a total number of switching elements to be turned on among the plurality of switching elements, and a duty ratio of the switching-element count, based on the operation amount, and generates a drive signal for driving the plurality of switching elements successively, based on the switching-element count and the duty ratio.

Power controller

A connector capable of setting a direction of running a cable connected thereto, as desired. An angle end bell has eight positioning protrusions formed on a foremost end of a surrounding portion thereof at circumferentially equally-spaced intervals. Eight positioning recesses for engagement with the positioning protrusions are formed in a rear end of a barrel. The barrel has three erroneous fitting-preventing key grooves formed in an outer peripheral surface thereof at circumferentially equally-spaced intervals.

Connector and device equipped with the same

A plug connector comprises a fitting portion to be fitted with another fitting portion of a receptacle connector. In an outer peripheral surface of the fitting portion, an engagement depression is formed. The engagement depression is depressed in a radial direction of the plug connector. A coupling member surrounds the outer peripheral surface of the fitting portion with a predetermined gap kept therebetween. The coupling member is pressed forwards in an axial direction of the plug connector by a coil spring. The receptacle connector further comprises a spring portion, on the free end of which an engagement projection is provided. The engagement projection projects inwardly in the radial direction. The fitting portion of the receptacle connector has a thickness which is substantially equal to the predetermined gap provided for the plug connector. When the engagement projection is accommodated in the engagement depression, the fitting portion of the receptacle connector is fitly received within the predetermined gap between the fitting portion and the coupling member so that the coupling of the plug and the receptacle connectors is locked.

Connector and mating connector and combination thereof

In a waterproof connector connected to a cable ( ) including a core wire and a shield braid, an insert assembly ( ) is attached to an end of the cable. A conductive cylindrical barrel ( ) is fitted to an outside of the insert assembly and electrically connected to a shield portion ( ) formed at the end of the cable by using the shield braid. The barrel has a shoulder portion ( ) engaged with the insert assembly in an axial direction thereof. A ground nut ( ) is engaged with the cable in the axial direction and screw-engaged with the barrel. The insert assembly includes a cylindrical spacer ( ) having one end fitted to the shield portion and a connector element ( ) which is connected to an exposed part of the core wire and fitted to an inside of the other end of the spacer.

Waterproof connector which can be improved in assembling workability

In a battery charger for charging a plurality of battery cells connected in series with each other with a constant current in a batch manner, the present invention is intended to suppress the generation of heat in cell shunt circuit sections which are provided as overheat protective measures for the individual cells. Surplus energy, which is generated in the cell shunt circuit sections by the product of a cell voltage and a shunt current and which becomes a heat generating source, is regenerated to a charger side via a flyback transformer provided in each of the cell shunt circuit sections, thereby suppressing heat generation.

Battery charger

In cell shunt circuit sections provided as overcharge protective measures for a plurality of individual cells of a lithium ion battery which are connected in series with one another so as to be charged with a constant current in a batch manner, the present invention is intended to suppress the generation of heat, which would be caused by shunting a charging current to a cell shunt. In each of the cell shunt circuit sections, an energy reservoir acts as a bypass path for bypassing a charging current supplied to a corresponding one of the battery cells so as to be input to the following battery cell, which is provided at a downstream side of the one battery cell, so as to reserve surplus energy obtained from the charging current thus bypassed and regenerate the thus reserved surplus energy to a batch charging line connected with the serially connected battery cells. A switching element is inserted in the bypass path for opening and closing thereof. The energy reservoir regenerates the surplus energy to the batch charging line when the switching element opens the by-pass path.
