A fundus observation apparatus that is capable of assisting an examiner in judging the presence or absence of abnormality in an examinee's eye based on a fundus tomographic image. The fundus observation apparatus includes an optical coherence tomography device that has an optical scanner for setting an image pickup position on a fundus of an examinee's eye, and is arranged to obtain a tomographic image of the fundus, and an information display unit that is arranged to display on a monitor the tomographic image obtained by the optical coherence tomography device and assisting information for assisting an examiner in performing judgment on the tomographic image, and the information display unit is arranged to change the assisting information based on image pickup information on the tomographic image.

A method of observing a three-dimensional image of an examinee's eye to be examined, includes: obtaining a first three-dimensional image which is a three-dimensional image of an anterior segment of the examinee's eye by optical coherence tomography for obtaining a tomographic image by converging a measurement light on the anterior segment of the examinee's eye; obtaining a second three-dimensional image which is a three-dimensional image of a fundus of the examinee's eye by optical coherence tomography for obtaining a tomographic image by converging the measurement light on the fundus of the examinee's eye by a timing different from a timing of obtaining the first three-dimensional image; constructing a three-dimensional eyeball image of the examinee's eye through image processing based on the obtained first and second three-dimensional images; and displaying the constructed three-dimensional eyeball image on a monitor.

Method of observing a three-dimensional image of examinee's eye

A control method of a fundus examination apparatus constructed as a perimeter for examining a fundus of an examinee's eye, includes: controlling a monitor provided in the fundus examination apparatus as the perimeter to display a two-dimensional map pertinent to a two-dimensional analysis result of the fundus based on a tomographic image of the examinee's eye obtained by an optical coherence tomography device; setting an examination position in the fundus examination apparatus as the perimeter on the two-dimensional map displayed on the monitor; and controlling the fundus examination apparatus as the perimeter based on the set examination position to examine the fundus.

An optical tomographic image photographing apparatus includes: an OCT optical system for capturing tomographic images of an object to be examined, the OCT optical system including a light source, a splitter for splitting a light from the light source into a measurement optical path and a reference optical path, an optical scanner, and a detector for detecting a spectrum of light obtained by combining the light of the measurement optical path reflected from the object and the light from the reference optical path; a drive unit to move at least a part of optical components of the OCT optical system in an optical axial direction; a monitor to output at least the tomographic image; and a display controller for displaying the tomographic image and identifying information used to determine whether the tomographic image output to the monitor is a normal image or a reverse image.

Optical tomographic image photographing apparatus

A control method of a fundus examination apparatus configured to examine a fundus of an examinee's eye, includes: processing an examination data obtained by one of fundus examination apparatuses, which are a perimeter configured to measure a visual field and an optical coherence tomography device configured to obtain a tomographic image of the fundus, to thereby obtain positional information relating to an abnormal site of the fundus; setting an examination position on the fundus in the other fundus examination apparatus which is the perimeter or the optical coherence tomography device based on the positional information; and examining the abnormal site of the fundus by controlling the other fundus examination apparatus based on the set examination position.

An ophthalmic photographing apparatus includes an optical coherence tomography device provided to imaging a tomographic image of an examinee's eye. The device includes: an irradiation position changing unit for changing an irradiation position of measurement light emitted from a light source on the eye to change an imaging position on the eye; and a detector for detecting a interference state between the measurement light reflected from the eye and reference light, and a displacement detecting unit provided to detect displacement in continuity between a tomographic image having already been obtained in a first imaging region and a tomographic image to be obtained in a second imaging region different from the first imaging region.

The ophthalmic photographing apparatus includes an optical scanner for two-dimensionally scanning light and an optical coherence tomography device for obtaining a three-dimensional tomographic image of an examiner's eye. The apparatus also includes an observation optical system for obtaining a front observation image of the eye as a moving image and an observation optical system that obtain a front observation image of the examinee's eye as a moving image. The driving control unit controls the optical coherence tomography device based on a signal from an operation unit. A position on the examinee's eye where the tomographic image is picked up is changeable by using the moving image of the front observation image and the analysis map.

An optical tomographic image photographing apparatus includes: an interference optical system for combining reflected light with reference light on an object to guide the combined light to a detector; a driving part for moving an optical member in an optical-axis direction in order to adjust an optical path difference between measurement light and the reference light; an image obtaining part for obtaining a tomographic image of the object based on a light receiving signal output from the detector; and a control unit configured to detect positional deviation with respect to a depth direction in the tomographic image and to correct a display position of the tomographic image such that the tomographic image is displayed in a predetermined position within a display region on a monitor.

An ophthalmic photographing apparatus includes: an interference optical system including a splitter that splits light, emitted from a measurement light source, into measurement light and reference light, and synthesizing the measurement light reflected on an eye with the reference light to guide the synthesized light to a detector; a driving part that moves an optical member arranged in the optical path to adjust an optical-path difference between the measurement light and the reference light; an image obtaining part that obtains a tomographic image of a fundus or an anterior segment based on a light receiving signal output from the detector; and a driving control unit that controls driving of the driving part to locate the optical member in a predetermined position corresponding to either a photographing mode for photographing the tomographic image of the fundus or a photographing mode for photographing the tomographic image of the anterior segment.

An apparatus has an optical system detecting spectral information and having an optical scanner and a driving unit changing the optical path length by moving an optical member, a monitor, and a unit controlling the driving unit, obtaining a tomographic image by performing Fourier analysis on the information and displaying the obtained image, in which a front surface of an examined object is positioned on the back side of a depth position where optical path lengths of measurement light and reference light become equal to obtain a normal image of the tomographic image, the front surface of the examined object is positioned on the front side of the depth position to obtain an inverted image of the tomographic image, and at least one of dispersion correction processing corresponding to the information and image combining processing is performed on both normal and inverted images, and the images are displayed.

An ophthalmic photographing apparatus which is easy to use and can simultaneously display OCT and SLO images as moving images while lightening a burden upon an examinee, the apparatus including an interference optical system having a first light source and a first scanning device which scans an examinee's eye with light from the first light source and obtaining a tomographic image of the eye, and a confocal optical system having a second light source and a second scanning device which scans the eye with light from the second light source and obtaining a front image of the eye, a changeover device which substantially makes a changeover of the light which is irradiated onto the eye alternately between the first light and the second light, a display device, and a display control unit displaying the images side by side as moving images on the display device.
