A pipe structure includes a pipe disposed in a state of contact with the air, a fluid with a temperature of at least 100&#xb0; C. flowing inside the pipe; and a coating material containing nickel oxide and coated onto an outer periphery portion of the pipe.

Pipe structure

In an exhaust heat recovery structure, a heat exchange portion (a tubular part) is configured such that a height of a lower inner surface is lowered from an inlet toward an outlet. Hence, when exhaust gas is condensed and condensed water is thereby generated inside the heat exchange portion (the tubular part), the condensed water flows from the inlet side toward the outlet side where the lower inner surface is lowered, and is then discharged to a piping part. Accordingly, the condensed water is unlikely to be collected inside the heat exchange portion.

Exhaust heat recovery structure

A vehicular heat management device includes a first heat source, a second heat source, a heater core, a first heat medium pathway, a second heat medium pathway, a heater core pathway, a switching portion, and a control unit. The first heat source is provided in the first heat medium pathway, and the second heat source is provided in the second heat medium pathway. The heater core is provided in the heater core pathway. The switching portion switches between flowing connection and flowing disconnection. The control unit performs at least one of a switching control and a second heat source control when a temperature of the heat medium of the heater core pathway is at or above a predetermined temperature. In the switching control, the switching portion connects the second heat medium pathway to the heater core pathway. In the second heat source control, the second heat source generates heat.

Vehicular heat management device

A heat recovery structure includes a pipe portion, a heat exchanging portion and an actuator. The pipe portion is inclined such that a side face of the pipe portion faces a diagonally lower side, and is configured such that exhaust gas from an engine circulates through the pipe portion. The heat exchanging portion is configured to communicate with the pipe portion and to perform heat-exchange between a heat medium and the exhaust gas flowing into the heat exchanging portion from the pipe portion such that the exhaust gas thus subjected to the heat-exchange with the heat medium flows out to the pipe portion. The actuator is configured to operate a selector valve configured to switch between a state where the exhaust gas circulates through the pipe portion and a state where the exhaust gas circulates through the heat exchanging portion.

Heat recovery structure

A heat exchanger includes a peripheral wall having a polygonal tube shape and partition walls that divide an inside of the peripheral wall into first cells and second cells, the first cells and the second cells extending in an axial direction of the peripheral wall. Ends of each of the first cells in the axial direction are sealed and adjacent ones of the first cells are in communication with one another so that the first cells constitute a first passage having a U-shaped cross section perpendicular to the axial direction. The first passage includes an inflow port and an outflow port that are open in the same surface of the peripheral wall. Each of the second cells constitutes a second passage including an inflow port and an outflow port provided respectively at ends of each of the second cells in the axial direction.

Heat exchanger

An exhaust pipe structure includes an exhaust pipe, a branching portion including an inflow port, a first flow path, a second flow path, a first discharge port, and a second discharge port, a first muffler, a first pipe, a second muffler, and a second pipe. The second flow path is lower in position in an up-down direction of a vehicle than the first flow path at a downstream side part of the second flow path including at least a portion of the second discharge port. The second pipe is lower in position in the up-down direction of the vehicle at an upstream side part connected to the second discharge port than an upstream side part of the first pipe connected to the first discharge port.

Exhaust pipe structure

An exhaust heat recovery unit, includes: a heat exchanger that is provided inside an exhaust pipe through which exhaust gas flows, the heat exchange being formed from silicon carbide, and the heat exchanger performing heat exchange between the exhaust gas and a heat medium; and a retention member that is provided at the periphery of the heat exchanger, is formed of a ceramic sheet or an expandable graphite sheet, and is sandwiched between the exhaust pipe and the heat exchanger, thereby retaining the heat exchanger in the exhaust pipe.

Exhaust heat recovery unit

An exhaust heat recovery unit that includes: a lead-in pipe that leads a heat medium from outside an exhaust pipe, via an inlet portion of an heat exchanger, into the heat exchanger; a lead-out pipe that leads the heat medium out from the heat exchanger, via an outlet portion of the heat exchanger, outside the exhaust pipe; and a pair of seal members that seal a space between the inlet portion and the lead-in pipe and a space between the outlet portion and the lead-out pipe, with at least one of the pair of seal members including an O-ring disposed in a position in which the at least one of the pair of seal members does not contact exhaust gas flowing through the exhaust pipe and in which the at least one of the pair of seal members contacts the heat medium.

In a distribution flow path that allows engine coolant to circulate between an exhaust heat recovery unit and an engine, an upstream flow path on the upstream side of the engine and a downstream flow path on the downstream side of the engine are communicated with each other by means of a bypass flow path to thereby form a short flow path with a shorter flow path length than in a case where the engine coolant that has exited the exhaust heat recovery unit passes through the engine. A valve that can adjust the amount of the engine coolant flowing to the bypass flow path and a short flow path pump are disposed.

Exhaust heat recovery system

An exhaust heat recovery device includes: a first pipe through which exhaust gas from an engine flows; a second pipe that communicates with the first pipe and bypasses the first pipe; a heat recovery unit that is disposed at an interior of the second pipe, and that exchanges heat between the exhaust gas and cooling water that circulates at an interior of the heat recovery unit, and that recovers heat of the exhaust gas; and a heat transfer suppressing mechanism that is provided at a portion connecting the first pipe with the second pipe, and that suppresses transfer of heat from the first pipe to the second pipe.

Exhaust heat recovery device

A vehicular heat management device includes a first heat source, a second heat source, a first heat generator, a second heat generator, a heat generator pathway, a first heat source pathway, a second heat source pathway, and a switching portion. The first heat source and the second heat source heat a heat medium. The first heat generator generates heat according to operation. The second heat generator generates heat according to operation. The first heat generator and the second heat generator are provided in the heat generator pathway. The first heat generator is provided in the first heat generator pathway. The second heat generator is provided in the second heat generator pathway. The switching portion switches between a condition where the heat generator pathway is in flowing communication with the first heat generator pathway and a condition where the heat generator pathway is in flowing communication with the second heat generator pathway.

The present disclosure provides an engine control device including: an adjustment section that adjusts a flow amount per unit time of exhaust gas from an engine; and a control section that, in a case in which a temperature below freezing point is detected by a temperature detection section that detects an external air temperature or an intake air temperature, a preceding engine operation duration is shorter than a first duration, and a value in a predetermined range in which water in an exhaust pipe can be drained by the flow amount being raised by a certain amount is detected by a value detection section that detects a value representing an acceleration, an accelerator opening or an engine rotation speed, controls the adjustment section so as to raise the flow amount by the certain amount until a second duration has passed from starting of the engine.

Engine control device

There is provided an engine control device including (1) a regulator that regulates a flow rate per unit of time of exhaust gas discharged from an engine, and (2) a controller that, in cases in which an external temperature detection section detects an external temperature below freezing point, and a previous engine operation duration is shorter than a predetermined first duration, controls the regulator such that the flow rate rises to exceed a predetermined normal state, until a predetermined second duration has elapsed since the engine was started up.

An exhaust heat recovery device structure that includes: an exhaust heat recovery device main body that is disposed at an inner side of a floor tunnel formed at a vehicle transverse direction central portion of a floor panel, the exhaust heat recovery device main body carrying out heat exchange between cooling water and gas that is generated at an internal combustion engine of a vehicle; and a metal pipe that extends-out from the exhaust heat recovery device main body, the metal pipe being connected to one end of a resin hose whose another end is connected to the internal combustion engine, the connected portion that connects the metal pipe with the resin hose being provided to the metal pipe further toward a vehicle lower side than the exhaust heat recovery device main body, is provided.

Exhaust heat recovery device structure

There is provided an exhaust heat recovery structure that may suppress boiling of coolant in a heat exchanger. The exhaust heat recovery structure includes a first pipe, a second pipe, a valve and a thermostat. Exhaust gas from an engine flows in the first pipe. The second pipe branches from the first pipe and a heat exchanger that exchanges heat between the coolant and exhaust gas is provided at the second pipe. The valve is provided at the first pipe or the second pipe. The valve adjusts a flow amount of exhaust gas flowing into the second pipe by opening and closing. The thermostat is equipped with a heat-sensing portion that is disposed inside the heat exchanger. When the temperature of the heat-sensing portion is high, the thermostat opens or closes the valve to reduce the flow amount of exhaust gas flowing into the second pipe.
