An adapter assembly is used to attach a module having a mating interposed portion to an attachment member having a mating fixing portion. The adapter assembly comprises a main member having a fixed portion and an interposed portion, a fixing member, a first interposing member having a first interposing portion and a second interposing member having a rotation stopper and a second interposing portion. When the module is attached to the attachment member, the fixed portion is interposed and fixed between the fixing member and the mating fixing portion, and the mating interposed portion is interposed and held between the interposed portion pressed by the first interposing portion and the second interposing portion. During the attachment process of the module, the rotation stopper prevents the second interposing member from being rotated relative to the module.

Adapter assembly and device

A connector is selectably mateable with a first mating connector and a second mating connector. The first mating connector has a first interface and two lock portions. The second mating connector has a second interface. The connector comprises a shell. The shell has a standard portion, a modified portion and two coupling portions. The standard portion corresponds to both the first interface and the second interface. The modified portion and the coupling portions correspond not to the first interface but to the second interface. The modified portion is apart from the standard portion in an up-down direction. The coupling portion couples the standard portion and the modified portion. The shell is formed with two lock holes. The lock hole extends from the standard portion to the coupling portion. The lock holes receive the lock portions when the connector is mated with the first mating connector.

Electrical connector

A shell of a modular jack includes soldered terminal portions connected to a substrate. The soldered terminal portions include first soldered terminal portions and second soldered terminal portions. The first soldered terminal portions are formed to extend toward the substrate from first side wall portions folded from a front surface of the housing toward a right-side surface and a left-side surface. The second soldered terminal portions are formed to extend toward the substrate from second side wall portions folded from an upper wall portion toward the right-side surface and the left-side surface of the housing, the upper wall portion being folded from the front surface of the housing toward a top surface. The first side wall portions and the second side wall portions cover the right-side surface and the left-side surface of the housing.

Electrical connector having shield with soldered terminal portions

A cap which is made difficult to come off a connector by suppressing deformation of the cap. The cap includes an insertion portion that has a hollow cylindrical shape and is inserted in a shell body of a shell of a receptacle connector, and a cover portion which is continuous with the insertion portion and covers an opening of the shell body. Ribs are formed inside the insertion portion, for suppressing deformation of the insertion portion.

A connector, comprising a connector body () having a flange (), a shell () forming a contour part, and a reinforcement member (). The reinforcement member () further comprises a reinforcement part () in contact with the flange () in which screw holes () are formed and an engagement part () engaged with the shell (). The reinforcement member () is detachably fitted to the connector body ().

Connector

A shell covering a housing has a shell body portion and a first and a second joining portion joining both ends of the shell body portion to each other. The first joining portion has a projecting portion projecting from a first end portion of the shell body portion and a recessed portion formed at a second end portion of the shell body portion and engaging with the projecting portion. The second joining portion has a first overlapping portion and a second overlapping portion that are overlapped with each other. The first overlapping portion is part of the first end portion and the second overlapping portion is part of the second end portion. An opening is formed at the first overlapping portion and a caulking portion is formed at the second overlapping portion. The opening and the caulking portion engage with each other by caulking the caulking portion.

Electrical connector having a shell

In a connector adapted to be connected to a mating object in a first direction, a plurality of contacts arranged in a second direction intersecting the first direction. Each of the contacts includes a contacting portion to be contacted with a mating object and an intermediate portion between the contacting portion and a terminal portion. The contacts includes a plurality of paired signal contacts and a plurality of ground contacts. A combination of the paired signal contacts in one of the rows and the ground contact in the other row forms a first set. A combination of the paired signal contacts in the other row and the ground contact in the one row forms a second set. Adjacent ones of the intermediate portions in the first and the second sets are shifted in position from each other in the first direction.

A plurality of contact members are held by an insulator in two rows. The contact members include first contacts and second contacts in each of the two rows. Each of the first and the second contacts has a contacting portion to be connected to a mating contact and a terminal portion to be connected to a connection object. The terminal portions of the first contacts are collectively arranged in a predetermined row. The second contacts in one and the other of the two rows are inverted in position from each other. The terminal portions of the second contacts in one and the other of the two rows are arranged on one and the other sides of the predetermined row, respectively.

Connector in which terminal portions can easily be arranged at a large pitch

A surface mountable connector () comprises an insulator (), a plurality of contacts () and a plurality of fixity members (). The contacts () are held by the insulator (). Similarly, the fixity members () are held by the insulator (). The fixity member () has a specific shape similar to the contact () except for a contact portion of the contact () which is a part of the contact () brought into contact with a contact of a mating connector when the connector () is mated with the mating connector. The fixity member () can be easily manufactured by cutting off the contact portion from the contact ().
