A magnet-type power generator includes a rotor having a bowl-shaped flywheel and plural magnets disposed on an inner circumferential surface of the flywheel so as to be spaced at a predetermined interval, and a stator having plural cores facing the magnets and each having a coil wound therearound. The magnets include a bonded magnet integrally molded with the flywheel.

Magnet-type power generator and method of manufacturing the same

An ignition coil device mounted on the cylinder head of an internal combustion engine. The ignition coil includes: a cylindrical pipe inserted into a plug hole while a first clearance is formed between the cylindrical pipe and the plug hole; a coil tower arranged over the cylindrical pipe; a seal member arranged below the coil tower for sealing the plug hole; and a cover arranged between the seal member and the coil tower. The seal member is formed with an air bleeding hole extending from the first clearance to a side of the coil tower. The air bleeding hole includes a protruding opening. A circumferential wall portion is positioned on the outer circumference side of the protruding opening while a second clearance is formed between the cover and a periphery of the protruding opening.

Ignition coil device

An ignition apparatus for an internal combustion engine includes a central core, a primary coil and a secondary coil arranged outside of the central core, a magnet arranged in abutment with one end face of the central core and magnetized in a direction opposite to the direction of a magnetic flux generated by energization of the primary coil, a side core arranged outside of the first and second primary coils so as to cooperate with the central core and the magnet to form a closed magnetic circuit, and a flexible core cover arranged to cover the side core. The side core includes a first side core section and a second side core section which have their one end faces arranged in abutment with each other. The first and second side core sections have their other ends in abutment against the magnet and the other end face of the central core, respectively.

Ignition apparatus for an internal combustion engine

The ignition coil includes an exciting core having a substantially I-shape, and a closed magnetic path forming core having a substantially C-shape. The ignition coil is constructed in such a manner that first contact faces are formed by a first face of the exciting core and a first face of the closed magnetic path forming core, and a permanent magnet is arranged between these first contact faces, while second contact faces are formed by a second face of the exciting core which is directed to a different direction from the aforesaid first face and a second face of the closed magnetic path forming core which is directed to a different direction from the aforesaid first face.

An ignition coil is so constructed that a transformer which includes a center core wound with a primary coil and a secondary coil, and a side core is fixed to a case by an insulating resin, and a core cover formed of material adherable to the insulating resin and a core cover formed of material releasable from the insulating resin are provided between the side core and the secondary coil.

An ignition apparatus for an internal combustion engine can increase the degree of freedom of wiring paths of electroconductive wires as well as simplifying and miniaturizing a wiring module. Transformers (A,B,C) are built into a casing () and each includes a core (), a primary coil () and a secondary coil () arranged to surround the core for generating a high voltage in the secondary coil (). A wiring module () built into the casing electrically connects the transformers and the switching module with one another. An insulating resin portion () fixedly attaches the transformers, the switching module and the wiring module to the casing. The wiring module () includes a module main body (), which is formed by integrating a plurality of conductors () with one another through a resin, and flexible electroconductive wires () disposed along a surface of the module main body ().

Ignition apparatus for an internal combustion engine and a manufacturing method therefor

An ignition coil device for an internal-combustion engine reduces the deterioration in reliability caused by heat stress. The ignition coil device is provided with: a case (5); a core (6) provided in the case (5); a primary coil (8) which is provided so that it surrounds the core (6) and which has a primary winding (13) trough which a primary current flows composed of a conductor wound around a bottomed cylindrical primary bobbin (12); a secondary coil (9) which is provided so that it surrounds the primary coil (8) and in which high voltage is generated by the interruption of the primary current; a stopper (21) which is provided at an opening (12a) of the primary bobbin (12) to close the opening (12a) of the primary bobbin (12); and an insulator (11) composed of a thermosetting resin which is provided in the case (5) to secure the primary coil (8) and the secondary coil (9) in the case (5). The stopper (21) prevents the insulator (11), which has not yet been thermally cured, from flowing between the core (6) and the primary bobbin (12) when it is charged into the case (5).

Ignition coil device for internal-combustion engine

Wirings on the low-tension side which are comprised of a terminal connected to a primary winding, terminals of an electronic component, and terminals of connectors electrically connected to external devices are formed as a unit by means of a molding and formed as an insert assembly 13, and electrical connections of the respective terminals are established by welding. An arrangement is provided such that the primary winding and the insert assembly are electrically connected by fusing, are then bent and accommodated in a case.

Ignition coil for internal combustion engine

An electrical connector connecting a spark plug to an ignition coil comprising electrically insulating caps each having a cylindrical engaging surface adapted to be attached to the spark plug and the ignition coil. An electrically insulating sheath is attached and engaged with the engaging surfaces of the insulating caps at the engaging surfaces at its opposite ends so that at least one cylindrical engaging interface is defined therebetween. An electrical conductor is supported by and extended through the insulating sheath for electrically connecting the ignition coil and the high voltage terminal of the spark plug to each other. The electrical connector also comprises an electrically insulating structure, disposed in the engaging interface between the engaging surfaces of the caps and the sheath, for providing additional electrical insulation in the engaging interface. The insulating structure may be a circumferential annular ridge and groove in the engaging interface, an electrically insulating bonding agent disposed in the engaging interface, an axially extending annular wall and groove, or a circumferential annular space defined in the engaging interface between the engaging surfaces and a volume of electrically insulating bonding agent filled within the annular space.

Electrical connector and ignition apparatus for an internal combustion

A transmission device for an ignition system of an internal combustion engine, which is equipped with a cylindrical terminal member made of an elastic material and having an inner circumference engagable with either one of an ignition coil or a spark plug. The cylindrical terminal member includes an engagement portion into which a terminal portion of an insulating member is fitted at its outer circumference, and the engagement portion has a thick-walled portion provided with an escape space to permit radial elastic deformation. This structure allows the elastic deformation of the thick-walled portion when the engagement of the terminal member is engaged with the spark plug or the ignition coil, thus facilitating engagement without excessive effort.

Transmission device for an ignition system of an internal combustion

An internal combustion engine ignition device comprises an ignition coil, a preliminary assembly, and a casing for accommodating and covering the ignition coil and the preliminary assembly with resin. The preliminary assembly comprises a heat sink, a control unit, and a cushion cover for covering the heat sink and control unit and having at least one first protrusion. The control unit comprises a control circuit for controlling the flow of primary current in the ignition coil, and at least one first recess for engaging with the first protrusion of the cushion cover.

Internal combustion engine ignition device

An ignition coil device for an internal combustion engine includes an air gap between the two heat generating sources, the coil assembly and the power transistor unit, such that the coil assembly and the power transistor unit are thermally isolated from each other. Further, the primary winding bobbin has an inner projection inserted into the air gap of the core to maintain the gap. Furthermore, the primary winding bobbin and the secondary winding bobbin each has a first and a second bobbin attachment portion. First the high voltage tower attachment portion of the high voltage tower is engaged with the bobbin attachment portion on the secondary winding bobbin and the connector attachment portion of the connector is engaged with the bobbin attachment portion on the primary winding bobbin, to form respective integral sub-units. Then, the second bobbin attachment portion on the primary winding bobbin is engaged with the second bobbin attachment portion on the secondary winding bobbin, to form an integral assembly, which is then inserted into the mold resin casing after the necessary electrical connections are made outside of the mold resin casing. The interior wiring for connecting the power transistor unit to the connector extends outside of the core such that adverse effects of the flux in the core on the interior wiring are prevented.

An ignition coil device for an internal combustion engine includes an air gap between the two heat generating sources, the coil assembly and the power transistor unit, such that the coil assembly and the power transistor unit are thermally isolated from each other. The interior wiring for connecting the power transistor unit to the connector extend outside of the core such that adverse effects of the flux in the core on the interior wiring is prevented.
