A fabric-like material for reinforcement in an urethane foam molding is obtained by impregnating a part of a surface of a nonwoven fabric of organic fibers with a hot melt magnetic material and immobilizing the hot melt magnetic material. A reinforcing base fabric for an urethane-foamed product includes: a front surface layer and a rear surface layer formed of a fiber integration of a thermoplastic resin; and an intermediate layer formed of a foam and interposed between the front surface layer and the rear surface layer. The total weight per unit area ranges from 90 g/mto 260 g/m. The front surface layer is formed of a fiber integration having a weight per unit area of equal to or greater than 20 g/m. The rear surface layer is formed of a fiber integration having a weight per unit area of equal to or greater than 30 g/m. The intermediate layer is formed of a foam layer having a weight per unit area of 30 g/mto 100 g/m.

Reinforcing base fabric for urethane-foamed product

Embodiments of the present invention may include a vehicle seat having a cushion pad, a surface member, and a rigid member. The cushion pad may be equipped with a main portion for supporting an occupant, and a side support portion provided on a side of the main portion. The side support portion may protrude from the main portion so as to support the occupant. The surface member is provided on a surface of the cushion pad. The rigid member is provided inside the side support portion of the cushion pad. The rigid member is of higher rigidity than the cushion pad, and protrudes in the same direction in which the side support portion protrudes. The rigid member has an end portion contacting the surface member.

Vehicle seat

There is provided a vehicle seat including a seat structure member which has a frame member which configures a seat framework, a pad member which configures an outer shape of the seat and is configured to elastically support an occupant, and a sheet-like elastic fiber body which is disposed on a rear surface of the pad member. The pad member is disposed on the frame member while the elastic fiber body contacting the frame member. The elastic fiber body includes protrusions which protrude toward the frame member and recesses which are closer to the pad member than the protrusions, and the elastic fiber body is configured to come into point or line contact with the frame member by the protrusions.

An apparatus for manufacturing a reinforcing cloth of a seat pad which includes: a mold for fixing a sheet and having an outer shape substantially identical to a shape of the reinforcing cloth and provided with a plurality of air holes interconnecting an internal space with an outer surface; a closed space between the mold and a cover member formed by covering the sheet fixed on the mold with the cover member; a heating unit for heating the sheet; and an exhausting unit for exhausting air from the closed space is provided.

Method of manufacturing reinforcing cloth of a seat pad and apparatus therefor

A method for producing a casting die by simple work without requiring any high work skill in which the working days required for producing the casting die can be shortened greatly. A die model suitably employed in this production method, an NC processing system and a processing robot are also provided. The method for producing the casting die comprises: (1) a die data making step for making die data through designing a requisite die in compliance with a configuration of an article to be produced; (2) an automatic processing preparation step for preparing processing data as to how processing is to be performed by an automatic processing machine on the basis of the die data; (3) a die model cutting step for producing a die model by cutting a die model material with the automatic processing machine; (4) a die mold making step for making a die mold by packing casting sand in a box whose upper side is open, with the die model produced in the die model cutting step being placed at a central part of the box, the casting sand being provided with a gate and solidified with bond to thereby obtain the die mold; (5) a die casting step for casting a die by pouring a molten die material into the die mold made in the die mold making step; and (6) a finishing and assembling step for finishing and assembling the die cast in the die casting step.

Method for producing casting die and die model

A method of manufacturing a reinforcing cloth of a seat pad includes: fixing a sheet on a mold having an outer shape substantially identical to a shape of the reinforcing cloth and provided with a plurality of air holes interconnecting an internal space with an outer surface; forming a closed space between the mold and a cover member by covering the sheet fixed on the mold with the cover member; heating the sheet; shaping the heated sheet into a shape following the outer shape of the mold by exhausting air from the closed space through the air holes; and demolding the sheet from the mold after removing the cover member.

Method of manufacturing reinforcing cloth of sheet pad and apparatus therefor

A mold apparatus for producing a synthetic resin foam part has a mold assembly (1) comprising a lower mold (2), an upper mold (3) removably attached to the lower mold to define a closed space, and an insert (4) removably disposed in the closed space. The insert has a partition (6) which is faced to the upper mold through a gap (11). The partition defines a chamber (7) between the insert and the upper mold. The closed space excluding the chamber constitutes a cavity (8) into which a molding compound is introduced. A pressure regulator means (21) is provided for exhausting air from the chamber (7) to keep the chamber in a subatmospheric pressure whereby air in the cavity (8) is also exhausted through the gap. A foam part is produced by feeding a synthetic resin blow molding compound into the cavity (8) under atmospheric pressure, tightly closing the mold assembly, exhausting air from the chamber and from the cavity through the gap to establish a subatmospheric pressure in the cavity, and causing the molding compound to be blow molded.

Method for molding expanded synthetic resin

A mold apparatus for producing a synthetic resin foam part has a mold assembly (1) including a lower mold (2), an upper mold (3) removably attached to the lower mold to define a closed space, and an insert (4) removably disposed in the closed space. The insert has a partition (6) which is faced to the upper mold through a gap (11). The partition defines a chamber (7) between the insert and the upper mold. The closed space excluding the chamber constitutes a cavity (8) into which a molding compound is introduced. A pressure regulator means (21) is provided for exhausting air from the chamber (7) to keep the chamber in a subatmospheric pressure whereby air in the cavity (8) is also exhausted through the gap. Apparatus for vacuum molding expanded synthetic resin parts

A polyurethane seat pad having a center seat portion and bank portions therearound is molded by using a mold defining a cavity having a center region corresponding to the center seat portion and side regions corresponding to the bank portions, placing collecting vessels of expanded polyolefin in the side regions of the mold cavity, pouring a foamable polyurethane liquid for low hardness foam into the cavity between said collecting vessels, pouring a foamable polyurethane liquid for high hardness foam into said collecting vessels, and causing the foamable liquids to expand, thereby producing a polyurethane seat pad having the collecting vessels embedded therein. The expanded polyolefin is a crosslinked polyolefin foam having an index of surface wetting of at least 36 dyne/cm. The seat pad in which the bank portions have higher hardness than the seating portion and which is fully durable against repetitive loading can be produced to the desired configuration in a stable manner.

Method for molding polyurethane seat pads

A polyurethane seat padding having a center seat portion and a bank portion on either side thereof is molded by using a mold defining a cavity having a center region corresponding to the center seat portion and side regions corresponding to the bank portions, placing collecting vessels of expanded polypropylene or polyethylene in the side regions of the mold cavity, pouring a foaming polyurethane liquid for flexible foam into the cavity between the collecting vessels, pouring a foaming polyurethane liquid for rigid foam into the collecting vessels, and causing the foaming liquids to expand, thereby producing a polyurethane seat padding having the collecting vessels embedded therein.

Method for molding polyurethane seat paddings

A method of molding a foamed product is carried out by using a front and a rear mold for molding a front and a rear portion of the foamed product and a core interposed between the front and rear molds. The method includes steps of pouring or spraying one of foaming stock solutions onto a molding surface of the one mold, arranging the core in the one mold and pouring or spraying the other foaming stock solution onto the core or a molding surface of the other mold. The front and rear molds are closed at a moment when a lapse of time arrives at 30-100% of a rise time of the foaming stock solution later applied. Thereafter the closed molds are maintained in a position where an angle of the closed molds relative to a horizontal plane is within a range between 90.degree. and an angle more than 0.degree.. The front and rear molds are pivotally connected to each other with their one ends by means of a pivot shaft. The core is pivotally supported with its one end by a shaft arranged in parallel to the pivot shaft. The core is formed with a through-hole and said rear mold is provided with a protrusion to be hermetically fitted in the through-hole of the core.

Foam molding method and mold assembly therefor

A gas venting device serves to automatically closing and opening vent holes of a foam mold so that air and reaction product gases are sufficiently exhausted and a foamed product is effectively prevented from extending through the vent holes. The gas venting device includes valves for closing and opening the vent holes, valve driving cylinders for driving the valves, a pilot operated two-position change-over valve, pressure tanks connected through the pilot operated two-position change-over valve to the valve driving cylinders, and mechanical change-over valves connected to the pilot operated two-position change-over valve for changing over it by dogs provided on a passage of the foam mold. The device further includes an air timer for delaying closing the vent holes by the valves.

Molding a foamed product is carried out by using a front and a rear mold for molding a front and a rear portion of the foamed product and a core interposed between the front and rear molds.
