Provided is a polycarbonate resin composition which contains specific amounts of a glass filler and glossy particles, which can be molded into an article in which no difference in lightness is visually observed between the left side and the right side of the weld line, and which has excellent optical properties and flame retardancy. The polycarbonate resin composition contains: a composition formed of an aromatic polycarbonate resin (A) and a glass filler (B) having a difference in refractive index 0.002 or less from the aromatic polycarbonate resin of; glossy particles (C-1) having an average particle diameter of 10 &#x3bc;m or more and less than 50 &#x3bc;m; glossy particles (C-2) having an average particle diameter of 50 to 300 &#x3bc;m; a silicone compound (D) having a reactive functional group; and an organic alkali metal salt compound and/or an organic alkali earth metal salt compound (E). Also provided are a polycarbonate resin molded article produced by molding the resin composition, and a method of producing a polycarbonate resin molded article, which is characterized by involving subjecting the resin composition to an injection molding at a mold temperature of 120&#xb0; C. or higher.

Provided are: a polycarbonate resin composition which is excellent in mechanical properties, physical properties, optical properties, and flame retardancy, including: a composition formed of an aromatic polycarbonate resin (A) and a glass filler (B) having a difference in refractive index of 0.002 or less from the aromatic polycarbonate resin; glossy particles (C-1) having an average particle diameter of 10 &#x3bc;m or more and less than 50 &#x3bc;m; glossy particles (C-2) having an average particle diameter of 50 to 300 &#x3bc;m; and a silicone compound (D) having a reactive functional group; a polycarbonate resin molded article obtained by molding the polycarbonate resin composition; and a method of producing a polycarbonate resin molded article, involving subjecting the polycarbonate resin composition to injection molding at a mold temperature of 120&#xb0; C. or higher.

A polycarbonate resin composition, which exhibits not only an excellent balance among fluidity, rigidity, heat resistance, and impact resistance while maintaining flame retardance but also an excellent performance of recycling efficiency and a molded article thereof are provided. The polycarbonate resin composition contains a resin mixture of component (A) which is composed of (A-1) 10 to 100 mass % of an aromatic polycarbonate resin wherein dihydroxybiphenyl is used in a part of a divalent phenol as the raw material thereof and (A-2) 90 to 0 mass % of an aromatic polycarbonate resin other than the aromatic polycarbonate resin of component (A-1), and an amorphous styrene resin (B), in a mass ratio of component (A) to component (B) of 50:50 to 95:5. The molded article is an injection-molded article made of the polycarbonate resin composition.

Polycarbonate resin composition and molded article thereof

Provided are a polycarbonate resin composition containing a glass filler, which is excellent in transparency, strength, and heat resistance and provided with high flame retardancy even without using a flame retardant, and a polycarbonate resin molded article obtained by molding the resin composition. The flame-retardant polycarbonate resin composition contains a combination including (A) 55 to 95 mass % of an aromatic polycarbonate resin containing a polycarbonate-polyorganosiloxane copolymer and (B) 45 to 5 mass % of a glass filler having a refractive index smaller or larger than a refractive index of the aromatic polycarbonate resin by 0.002 or less, and (C) 0.05 to 20.0 parts by mass of a silicone compound having a reactive functional group with respect to 100 parts by mass of the combination. The polycarbonate resin molded article has a thickness of 0.3 to 10 mm which is obtained by molding the composition.

Flame-retardant polycarbonate resin composition, polycarbonate resin molded article, and method for producing the polycarbonate resin molded article

Provided are a polycarbonate resin composition which does not contain halogen and phosphorus as a flame retardant component and which is excellent in a fluidity while maintaining a flame resistance, a heat resistance and an impact resistance and a molded article thereof.

Polycarbonate resin composition and molded article

A method for manufacturing a recycled polycarbonate raw material for a flame retardant resin composition from discarded and/or recovered optical discs using a polycarbonate resin as a substrate material, and includes (a) a step to identify if 2,2-bis(4-hydroxyphenyl)propane as a divalent phenol of the polycarbonate resin raw material is polymerized as the sole raw material in the polycarbonate resin as the substrate material of the discarded and/or recovered optical discs and (b) a step to remove impurities by a chemical treatment by separating only the discarded and/or recovered optical discs, wherein the polycarbonate resin is identified as polymerized by using 2,2-bis(4-hydroxyphenyl)propane as the sole raw material. Accordingly, used optical discs using a PC resin as a substrate material and discarded optical discs as substandard articles in a manufacturing step can be reused as a raw material for a flame retardant polycarbonate resin composition by treating with a method at low cost and a low environmental load.

Process for the production of recycled polycarbonate as raw material for flame-retardant resin compositions and polycarbonate-base flame-retardant resin compositions

A flame-retardant polycarbonate resin composition which exhibits excellent flame-retarding property and retention of the antistatic property for a long time. It comprises (A) a polycarbonate resin, (B) an aromatic vinyl resin having an acid salt group and (C) a silicone compound having a reactive group.

Flame-retardant polycarbonate resin composition and molded article thereof

Provided is a non-halogen, flame-retardant polycarbonate resin composition that comprises a resin mixture of (A) from 60 to 99% by mass of a polycarbonate resin and (B) from 1 to 40% by mass of a polycarbonate copolymer having phosphorus atoms in its main chain, and contains (C) from 0.02 to 5 parts by mass, relative to 100 parts by mass of the resin mixture, of an anti-dripping agent. Also provided are moldings of the composition. The polycarbonate copolymer (B) that has phosphorus atoms in its main chain is typically a polycarbonate copolymer of which the repetitive structural units contain an aromatic organophosphate component. The resin moldings have good impact resistance, good heat resistance and high stiffness intrinsic to polycarbonate resin. Not depositing on the wall of molds, the melt of the resin composition is well flowable and is stably molded into high-quality moldings having good appearance, and its long-run workability is good.
