A heat exchanger used in a screw air compressor has a low temperature chamber through which low temperature fluid flows and a high temperature chamber through which high temperature fluid flows. The low temperature chamber and the high temperature chamber are separated by a partition plate. The high temperature chambers and the low temperature chambers are alternately arranged in layers, so that the low temperature chambers are disposed at both ends in a layered direction. Additionally, the flowing direction of the low temperature fluid in the low temperature chambers and the flowing direction of the high temperature fluid in the high temperature chambers are substantially orthogonal to each other.

The reinforcing fibers of the creepage block,fabricated from a resin material containing reinforcing fibers are continuously disposed to form straight lines and curved lines along the contour of the gas vent groove, whereby the area of interlayer slip face,subjected to a shearing force acting on the creepage block due to a temperature change of a rotor,is increased and the shearing force per unit a slip area is decreased, thereby to prevent a shearing slip fracture near the face of the creepage block,abutting against the magnetic winding

Rotating electric machine

A superconducting magnet includes a superconducting coil, an inner tank for containing the coil, a shield plate for covering the inner tank, and an outer tank for accommodating the superconducting coil, the inner tank and the shield plate. The inner tank is supported on the outer tank by a load support member and the outer tank forms a vacuum vessel. At least one of the inner tank, the load support member, the shield plate and the outer tank includes a detection arrangement for detecting abnormality and/or deterioration of the inner tank, load support member, shield plate and outer tank associated with the respective detection arrangement.

Superconducting magnet magnetically levitated transportation apparatus

A lead frame and a semiconductor device wherein a through hole is formed in the center of a semiconductor chip-mounting surface of a chip pad at the center of the lead frame, the through hole being tapered or being one which corresponds to a surface area that is greater on the surface of the chip-mounting surface of the chip pad than on the surface of the side opposite to the chip-mounting surface thereof. This prevents the occurrence of cracks in the sealing plastic portion in the step of reflow soldering of the lead frame to the substrate.

A commutator apparatus for rotary electric machines comprises a plurality of commutator segments mounted side by side on a rotary shaft through an insulating ring along the periphery thereof, an armature winding wound on a rotor core and including a plurality of coil ends projected axially from the rotor core, and a plurality of risers made of a conductor, one end of each thereof being connected to one axial end of the corresponding commutator segments, the other end of the riser being securely connected to one end of the corresponding armature coil. Each pair of adjacent risers are bound by an insulating binder to reduce the space therebetween, thus forming a substantially delta-shaped space defined by the adjacent risers on each side of said binder. The vibrations of the risers are thus absorbed and the vibratory stress of the risers is reduced, thus improving the mechanical strength and reliability of the commutator apparatus.
