The invention provides a wavelength conversion member including a wavelength conversion layer which includes a second cured product and a first cured product dispersed as spheres in the second cured product, the first cured product being obtained by curing a first polymerizable composition including a quantum dot and a first polymerizable compound, and the second cured product being obtained by curing a second polymerizable composition including a second polymerizable compound. The present invention provides a light polarization film capable of suppressing a decrease in light emission efficiency even when the film is continuously irradiated with light and suppressing a change in degree of polarization even under a wet heat environment, a method for manufacturing the same, a laminate, and a method for manufacturing the same. The light polarization film of the present invention includes a polymer, and quantum rods, in which the quantum rods are aligned such that a major axis of each of the quantum rods is parallel to one direction parallel to a surface of the light polarization film, a moisture content is 1.0% or less, and an oxygen permeability coefficient is 200 cc&#xb7;20 &#x3bc;m/m&#xb7;day&#xb7;atm or less.

According to an aspect of the invention, there is provided a method of recording an image, including irradiating a COlaser having a wavelength of from 9 to 11 &#x3bc;m onto a recording material in which a recording layer and a protective layer are provided on a support in this order, wherein the recording layer includes at least microcapsules encapsulating a basic dye precursor, and the protective layer includes a binder.

Recording method

A heat-sensitive recording material comprising, on a support, a heat-sensitive recording layer and a protective layer is provided. The protective layer contains an acetylene glycol derivative represented by the following formula (1) in an amount of 2% by mass or more, a water-insoluble dispersion in an amount of 5% by mass or more, and a water-insoluble organic material, as an emulsion, in an amount of 5% by mass or more, all based on the solids content in the protective layer.  In formula (1), Rto Reach independently represent a hydrogen atom, a branched, linear or cyclic substituted or unsubstituted alkyl group having 1 to 8 carbon atoms, or a substituted or unsubstituted aryl group having 6 to 10 carbon atoms. The present invention provides a thermal recording material comprising a plurality of layers including at least a thermal recording layer on a support that is characterized in that an intermediate layer composed of gelatin as a binder is provided between at least one pair of two adjacent layers of the plurality of layers. Further, the steps for forming the thermal recording material by coating and drying the respective coating liquids for forming each layer that are characterized in that the drying process of the intermediate layer is performed while controlling wet membrane surface temperature at no higher than 35&#xb0; C.
