A headrest mounting structure to be provided in seats for vehicles such as automobiles is disclosed in which two spaced stays for supporting a headrest onto a seat back are respectively inserted into two support tubes provided in the seat back and the two support tubes are respectively inserted through a pair of brackets fixed to the seat back. Each of insertion bores formed in the brackets for insertion of the support tubes and insertion bores formed in the support tubes for insertion of the stays is formed as an elongated bore having a straight portion extending transversely of the seat back. Such elongated insertion bores permit compensation of errors in the distances between the stays as well as between the support tubes.

Headrest mounting structure for a vehicle seat

A seat for use in a vehicle such as a motor car is disclosed in which a thigh support portion and a bottom support portion are integrally foamed with each other, and separate lower frame wires are embedded independently of each other within the respective support portions, whereby the thigh support portion can be smoothly moved up and down by a thigh support device provided therein.

Motor vehicle seat

A vehicle seat is disclosed which is provided on its surface with a plurality of intersecting, recessed grooves for decoration. The seat includes a cushion member formed of a foam material and provided on its surface with a plurality of intersecting, recessed grooves. Projections are provided adjacent to the intersections of these recessed grooves, respectively. Such projections can prevent wrinkles from being produced in the intersections of the decorative recessed grooves formed in a top member which is a component of the seat. Specifically, when such top member placed over the cushion member is hung in along the recessed grooves of the cushion member, the recessed grooves for decoration are formed on the surface of the top member. During this hang-in operation, the projections are compressed so that repelling resilient forces are produced in these projections. Such resilient forces of the projections prevent any wrinkles from occurring in the intersections of the decorative recessed grooves in the top member.
