The present invention relates to an ink jet printer in which drops of ink are jetted out onto a surface of a recording medium so as to record an image. The present invention is to obtain an economical ink jet printer in which a reaction force generated in the reciprocal motion of the ink jet head is simply canceled, and the ink jet printer is small and light, and less vibration is caused in the printer, and further it is possible to drive the printer with a small amount of drive energy. The ink jet printer includes: a recording medium conveyance device for conveying a recording medium in the subsidiary direction; a plurality of ink jet heads in which a plurality of nozzles for jetting drops of ink to a surface of the recording medium are disposed, the ink jet heads being capable of moving in the primary scanning direction substantially perpendicular to the subsidiary scanning direction, the ink jet heads being arranged in the printer main body being aligned in the subsidiary scanning direction; and a head reciprocation drive device for reciprocating the ink jet heads in the primary scanning direction at phases different from each other.

Ink jet printer in which reaction force is canceled

The present invention relates to an ink jet printer in which drops of ink are jetted out onto a surface of a recording medium so as to record an image. The present invention is to obtain an economical ink jet printer in which a reaction force generated in the reciprocal motion of the ink jet head is simply canceled, and the ink jet printer is small and light, and less vibration is caused in the printer, and further it is possible to drive the printer with a small amount of drive energy. The ink jet printer comprises includes: a recording medium conveyance device for conveying a recording medium in the subsidiary direction; a plurality of ink jet heads in which a plurality of nozzles for jetting drops of ink to a surface of the recording medium are disposed, the ink jet heads being capable of moving in the primary scanning direction substantially perpendicular to the subsidiary scanning direction, the ink jet heads being arranged in the printer main body being aligned in the subsidiary scanning direction; and a head reciprocation drive device for reciprocating the ink jet heads in the primary scanning direction at phases different from each other.

An electrophotographic image forming apparatus in which overheating or burning of a heater caused by fabricating units whose specified supply voltages are different from each other is prevented. Power from a main unit is supplied to the heater, which is in a photosensitive drum in a drum unit, for heating the photosensitive drum so as to be maintained at a specified temperature, through a connecter disposed between the main unit and the drum unit. The connecter is comprised of parts which are respectively disposed in different positions, depending on the specified supply voltages. The respective positions of the parts vary, in relation to a reference position, in a direction around the rotation axis of the photosensitive drum which is rotated when the drum unit is installed in the main unit. When the specified supply voltage of the main unit is equal to that of the heater, the parts are fitted to each other, thereby making electrical connection.

Electrophotographic image forming apparatus

An inexpensive large-capacity paper hopper capable of energizing a paper feed table with a constant lift force irrespective of the quantity of paper sheets remaining thereon, thereby performing stable paper feeding. To achieve such a paper hopper, a paper hopper, wherein a paper feed table is lifted or lowered being kept in a horizontal condition and paper sheets stacked on the paper feed table are sequentially sent out from the top sheet for feeding, is arranged such that the paper feed table is so suspended by a wire suspending device as to be lifted or lowered in a horizontal condition, and an elastic tensile force of extension coil springs included in a lift force exerting device is so exerted to the paper feed table that the direction in which the restoring displacement of the extension coil springs takes place becomes coincident with the direction of lifting the paper feed table.

Paper hopper

A media receiving unit is provided. The unit comprises a media receiver for receiving media (sheets of paper) discharged from a media processing apparatus such as a printer; a rotary member; at least a pair of flexible sheets for holding the medium and provided on the periphery of the rotary member; and a stopper for separating the medium from the flexible sheets. The flexible sheets hold a front end of the medium therebetween, are bent when in contact with the medium according to the rotation of the rotary member, and, when a rear end of the medium is released from the media processing apparatus, flip the rear end of the medium with an elastic rstoring force thereof while holding the front end of the medium to reverse the medium and place the medium in the media receiver. Thus, the media are properly reversed and received in the media receiver.

Media receiving unit

A media receiving unit is provided. The unit comprises a media receiver for receiving media (sheets of paper) discharged from a media processing apparatus such as a printer; a rotary member; at least a pair of flexible sheets for holding the medium and provided on the periphery of the rotary member; and a stopper for separating the medium from the flexible sheets. The flexible sheets hold a front end of the medium therebetween, are bent when in contact with the medium according to the rotation of the rotary member, and, when a rear end of the medium is released from the media processing apparatus, flip the rear end of the medium with an elastic restoring force thereof while holding the front end of the medium to reverse the medium and place the medium in the media receiver. Thus, the media are properly reversed and received in the media receiver.
