Gasification equipment with a gasification furnace which maintains a. high cold gas efficiency, and suppresses a temperature rise of the gasification gas to minimize ash deposition is disclosed. A part of a COgas separated from an exhaust of a power generation plant is compressed by a. recovered COcompressor 25. The compressed COgas is used for transport of coal (pulverized coal). The COgas is supplied, together with the pulverized coal, into a gasification furnace to accelerate the formation of CO by an endothermic reaction between C and COand suppress a temperature raise within a coal gasification furnace 15, thereby producing a gasification gas.

Information that is required for laying out character string data is entered, as are character string data. The printing attributes for the data are then edited, and are employed to extract contour information. Thereafter, the extracted contour information is employed to determine the information that is to be used as a reference when laying out the character string data, and a layout position is specified. Then, the various data that are obtained are stored as printing data, and the character string data are laid out in a drawing area. Therefore, the printing data can be precisely and easily prepared, without the work efficiency of a user being deteriorated.

The present invention relates to a graphics processing apparatus for plotting three-dimensional graphics by using a grid, and to a method of use of the apparatus. An arbitrary plane grid is displayed on a display screen, the displayed grid is variously changed and the three-dimensional graphic is plotted using the changed grid. The possible changes of the grid include a grid translation, a grid spacing change, a grid rotation, the selection of a grid display/non-display mode, coincidence/non-coincidence of the reference points of the graphic with the grid, and the like. Also, the apparatus executes a corner processing, including arc processing and straight line processing. In the arc processing, the corner processing is executed by selecting two straight lines and inputting a radius to define a corner joining the two lines; and in the straight line processing, the corner processing is executed by selecting two straight lines and inputting the length and angle of a line segment to join them.

Graphics processing apparatus using grid and a method thereof

An improved image heating apparatus using a plasma lamp is disclosed. The apparatus comprises at least one rotary elliptical mirror having a reflection surface of a rotary elliptical body at the inside; a plasma lamp disposed at a first focal point of the rotary elliptical mirror; a member for supporting the plasma lamp; an electric wave shielding member provided inside the rotary elliptical mirror; a cavity resonator defined by the rotary elliptical mirror and the electric wave shielding member, and adapted to accommodate the plasma lamp; a high frequency oscillator adapted to supply electromagnetic wave to the cavity resonator via a wave guide; and a test sample disposed at a second focal point of the rotary elliptical mirror.

A plasma lamp placed at the first focal point of an elliptical mirror spherically radiates, the light from the plasma lamp being reflected on said elliptical mirror so as to be spherically condensed to a specimen levitated by an electric field at the second focal point thereof. Thus, the specimen is uniformly heated under the levitated condition.

An electrostatic levitation furnace is used for production of microgravity material in space. The furnace comprises a rotary elliptical mirror having a reflection surface of a rotary elliptical body at the inside; a plasma lamp disposed at a first focal point of the rotary elliptical mirror; a member for supporting the plasma lamp; an electric wave shielding plate of a disc type attached adjacent to the first focal point of the rotary elliptical mirror in such a manner that the circumferential edge of the plate is in contact with the inner surface of the mirror; a cavity resonator defined by the rotary elliptical mirror and the electric wave shielding plate, and adapted to accommodate the plasma lamp; a high frequency generator for supplying a high frequency current to the cavity resonator; a test sample disposed at a second focal point of the rotary elliptical mirror; transparent electrodes disposed in the rotary elliptical mirror for providing an electric field allowing the test sample to be levitated; a high potential power source connected to the transparent electrodes; a position detector disposed opposedly to the test sample for detecting the position thereof; a control circuit connected to the position detector and the high potential power source for controlling an output level of the high potential power source in response to the detected position of the test sample; and a silica tube for accommodating the test sample.
