An image capture device of the present invention is provided with: a first brightness adjusting unit which adjusts brightness when capturing an image of a subject; a second brightness adjusting unit which adjusts the brightness of an analog image signal of the subject captured with the brightness adjusted by the first brightness adjusting unit; an A/D conversion unit which subjects the analog image signal with the brightness adjusted by the second brightness adjusting unit to A/D conversion; a third brightness adjusting unit which adjusts the brightness of a digital image signal obtained by the A/D conversion; and a gain-up adjusting unit which raises the gain of a low-illuminance portion of the digital image signal with the brightness adjusted by the third brightness adjusting unit, by means of realtime modification adjustment using a gamma characteristic.

Image capture device and image adjusting method

In a camera, a circuit board converts light having passed through a lens into an electric signal. A connector connects the circuit board to an outside cable. A shielding conductor surrounds the circuit board. An insulating housing houses the circuit board and the shielding conductor. A connector includes inner, intermediate, and outer connectors. The inner connector includes a first outer skin conductor, and is mounted to the circuit board. The intermediate connector includes a second outer skin conductor supporting a shielding conductor, and is connected to the inner connector and the shielding conductor. The outer connector includes a third outer skin conductor, and connects an outside cable to the intermediate connector. The shielding conductor wraps the circuit board from a boundary, as a starting point, between the second outer skin conductor and the shielding conductor. The insulating housing is connected to and supported by the intermediate connector.

An image processor includes: a reduction (resizing) processorthat reduces an original image obtained from a single-sensor color imaging device to an image conforming to a display size of a display monitor; and a rearranged color array display data generation processorthat generates one or more types of color array images conforming to a color pixel array of the display monitor, based on the reduced image. With this configuration, one or more types of display reduced-size image having color information of the original image are generated. Thus, a small-size image for display generated from a large-size original image output from an imaging device can be displayed at high speed with a minimum frame delay.

In a first filtering processing step, RAW data of a source image is subjected to a pixel-based filtering process along a first array direction to divide the RAW data into a first luminance data and a first color carrier data. In a first color array reproduction processing step, the first color carrier data is re-synthesized with the second luminance data to produce a first multiple-color array data. An adjacent color difference data generator calculates a differential between adjacent data in a data row having different color information per pixel of the digital signal to thereby generate a first color difference data having a first code format. A code converter converts the first color difference data into a second color difference data having a second code format. The second code format is a code format where only a small number of bits change before and after the code conversion from the first code format. The number of changing bits in the switching between codes when, for example, an image monochromatic but having gradation change is imaged to reduce any noise generated when digital image data is outputted.
