A control device is provided for a human-powered vehicle that includes an operation detector that detects a first parameter correlated to a predetermined operation performed by a rider on the human-powered vehicle. The control device comprises an electronic controller and storage. The storage is configured to store the first parameter. The electronic controller is configured to store the first parameter in the storage. The operation detector is provided on at least one of a frame of the human-powered vehicle, a fork of the human-powered vehicle, a wheel of the human-powered vehicle, and a wheel axle of the human-powered vehicle. The predetermined operation includes at least one of a first operation in which the rider pushes a handlebar of the human-powered vehicle and a second operation in which the rider pulls the handlebar.

A method is performed for controlling a human-powered vehicle. The method includes calculating a first movement amount of the human-powered vehicle on a road from at least one of a rotational speed of a wheel of the human-powered vehicle and a rotational amount of the wheel. The method further includes calculating a second movement distance in an advancing direction of the human-powered vehicle and a horizontal direction from the first movement distance and a pitch angle of the human-powered vehicle and calculating a third movement distance related to movement in the advancing direction of the human-powered vehicle and a vertical direction from the first movement distance and the pitch angle. The method further includes predicting a terrain of the road from the second movement distance and the third movement distance.

A control device is provided for a human-powered vehicle that includes a suspension and an operation detector detecting a first parameter correlated to a predetermined operation performed by a rider on the human-powered vehicle. The operation detector includes an acceleration sensor provided on at least one of a wheel axle of the human-powered vehicle and a portion of the human-powered vehicle closer to the wheel axle than a moving portion of the suspension. The first parameter includes acceleration in a fore-aft direction of the human-powered vehicle. The control device includes an electronic controller. The electronic controller is configured to determine the predetermined operation based on the acceleration in the fore-aft direction. The predetermined operation includes at least one of a first operation in which the rider pushes a handlebar of the human-powered vehicle and a second operation in which the rider pulls the handlebar.

A bicycle sprocket comprises a sprocket body and sprocket teeth. The sprocket teeth include at least one first tooth. The at least one first tooth has a first maximum chain-engaging width, a first tooth center plane, a first projection, and a second projection. The first maximum chain-engaging width is defined in an axial direction parallel to a rotational center axis. The first tooth center plane is defined to bisect the first maximum chain-engaging width in the axial direction. The first projection has a first maximum axial length defined from the first tooth center plane in the axial direction. The second projection has a second maximum axial length defined from the first tooth center plane in the axial direction. The second maximum axial length is different from the first maximum axial length.

A bicycle sprocket comprises a sprocket body and sprocket teeth. The sprocket teeth include at least one first tooth and at least one second tooth. The at least one first tooth has a driving surface, a non-driving surface, a first maximum chain-engaging width, a first tooth center plane, and a first chain-facing surface. A bicycle shifting control apparatus comprises a transmission controller configured to control a guide actuator of a derailleur to move a chain guide of the derailleur between a plurality of shift positions in response to an input shifting signal. The transmission controller is configured to control, in a shifting operation of the chain guide between adjacent two shift positions of the plurality of shift positions, the guide actuator to temporarily decelerate the chain guide at a deceleration position defined between the adjacent two shift positions so that the bicycle chain engages with and/or disengages from one of the sprockets having a shift assist structure prior to completion of the shifting operation of the chain guide.
