A vehicle seat includes: a side cover; a first operation lever placed on a lateral side of the side cover; and a second operation lever placed closer to the side cover than the first operation lever is placed. The side cover includes: a first abut boss; and a second abut boss placed closer to a rotation center of the second operation lever than the first abut boss is placed. The second operation lever includes: a first abut rib; a second abut rib placed closer to a rotation center of the second operation lever than the first abut rib is placed; and a third abut rib placed closer to the rotation center of the second operation lever than the first abut rib is placed.

Vehicle seat

A seat device includes a seat part on which an occupant is seated, a support part for supporting the seat part, and a front cover made of soft material, which is fitted between front parts of the seat part and the support part. The front cover includes a seat connection end part joined with the front part of the seat part, a detachable first fixture attached to an end of the front cover opposite to the seat connection end part for attachment to the support part, an elastic member having one end disposed between the seat connection end part and the first fixture, and a detachable second fixture attached to the other end of the elastic member for attachment to a seat lower surface as a lower surface of the seat part.

A striker for use with a vehicle having a lock element, which comprises an engagement portion engageable with the lock element and a reinforcing bracket disposed relative to the engagement portion of the striker, such that a predetermined space is provided between the reinforcing bracket and engagement portion. When a relatively small load is applied via the lock element to the engagement portion, an impact energy of the load to body side of the vehicle is absorbed by the striker in a period of time during which the engagement portion is deformed within the predetermined space. If the load is great, the engagement portion is deformed over that space and contacts the reinforcing bracket, thereby being prevented against further deformation, such that an impact energy of the great load to the body side of vehicle is absorbed and reduced in the striker and reinforcing bracket in a stepwise way.

Striker for use with vehicle

An automotive seat of the type allowing a child seat to be mounted thereon and including a center back portion, wherein a shape-retaining/locking element is provided to a lower region of the center back portion. The shape-retaining/locking element includes a rigid hollow support body; a cut-away portion defined in the support body; a female engagement element to which the child seat is lockably engaged, the female engagement element being exposed outwardly in such cut-away portion; and a cover element for covering the hollow support body and cut-away portion. The cover element includes a layer of hard synthetic resin material with a certain elasticity, such that it normally tends to retain its original shape generally conforming to a forwardly facing surface portion hollow support body. One end of the cover element may be releasably connected to the lower region of the hollow support body.
