A hose clamp includes a clamp body having an annular ring part for fastening a hose and a pair of grip parts for filling the role of radially expanding the ring part, and a separately formed holder. The holder is inserted around the pair of grip parts and is capable of retaining the pair of grip parts in a closely adjacent state. The holder is provided integrally with means for removal of the holder from the pair of grip parts retained in the closely adjacent state.

Hose clamp

A hose clamp includes an annular clamp body having a first terminal portion and a second terminal portion. The first terminal portion has a guide opening, a lock wall defined between the guide opening and the leading end of the first terminal portion, and side walls disposed across the guide opening and folded back over themselves in a substantially U-shaped cross section having an upper side piece and a lower side piece. The second terminal portion has a radially outwardly bent wall serving as an engaging tongue piece. The clamp body is kept in a radially expanded state when the engaging tongue piece of the second terminal portion abuts against the lock wall of the first terminal portion and is radially contracted when the abutment between the engaging tongue piece and the lock wall is released to move the engaging tongue piece within the guide opening.

A shock absorber comprises a cylinder with a cylindrical bore, an actuator piston with a rod slidably received in the bore, and an adjustment piston slidably received in the bore and resiliently kept in a predetermined position. The adjustment piston cooperates with the actuator piston to define an adjustment chamber therebetween. The adjustment piston is movable in response to pressure developing within the adjustment chamber to vary a rate of air flow between the adjustment chamber and the ambient atmosphere so as to decelerate the actuator piston during its extending movement relative to the cylinder, thus providing a slow and gradual extending movement of the actuator piston.

Shock absorber with resiliently biased adjustment piston

In a mechanism for actuating valves of an internal combustion engine, in place of a conventional coil spring, a holding member formed at least partly like a leaf spring is used to hold resiliently a plurality of rocker arms in position. The holding member together with a rocker shaft is fixed to a support member, for example, by means of a bolt. A holding portion of the holding member can be formed at one end or both ends of a body portion of the holding member.
