A vacuum vessel includes a face plate, a rear plate having an interior surface that opposes the face plate, and a side wall joining the face plate and the rear plate, and a plurality of plate-like spacers provided between the face plate and the rear plate so that lengthwise directions thereof are parallel to each other. In addition, a plurality of linear fixing members are adhered to an exterior surface of the rear plate on the opposite side from the interior surface at mutually prescribed intervals and along the lengthwise direction of the plurality of spacers.

An airtight container manufacturing method includes the steps of (a) exhausting an inside of a container through the through-hole; (b) arranging a spacer along a periphery of the through-hole on an outer surface of the container the inside of which has been exhausted; (c) arranging a plate so that the spacer and the through-hole are covered by the plate and a gap is formed along a side surface of the spacer between the plate and the container outer surface; and (d) arranging the cover to cover the plate and bonding the cover and the container outer surface via sealant positioned between the cover and the container outer surface. The sealing includes hardening the sealant after deforming the sealant by pressing the plate with the cover so that the gap is infilled with the sealant.

Manufacturing method of an airtight container

A display panel includes a vacuum vessel provided with a face plate, a rear plate having a first surface that opposes the face plate at an interval therefrom, a connecting member provided between the face plate and the rear plate and connecting the face plate and the rear plate, and a plurality of plate-like spacers provided between the face plate and the rear plate so that lengthwise directions thereof are parallel to each other. In addition, a plurality of linear fixing members are adhered to the vacuum vessel by a plurality of linear bonding members. The fixing members are adhered to the rear plate by the linear bonding members at mutually prescribed intervals and along the lengthwise direction of the plurality of spacers, with each of the plurality of linear fixing members provided with a plate-like member adhered to the rear plate and a plurality of protruding portions provided on a surface of the plate-like member on an opposite side from the rear plate.

An airtight container manufacturing method includes the steps of exhausting an inside of a container through a through-hole provided in the container, arranging a plate member having, at its periphery, grooves penetrating the plate member in its plate thickness direction, on an outer surface of the exhausted container, so as to close up the through-hole, and providing a sealant on the plate member. In addition, a cover member covers the plate member via the sealant, and the container is sealed by closing the cover member on the plate member. In the sealing step the sealant is deformed and flows from the adjacent grooves to form a continuous shape and fill a space between the cover member and the outer surface of the container and along the periphery of the plate member.

Manufacturing method of airtight container and image displaying apparatus

An image display apparatus includes a hermetic container and an image display member arranged in the hermetic container. The hermetic container is provided with a first substrate, a second substrate arranged to be opposed to the first substrate, and an outer frame arranged between both of the substrates. The first substrate includes an aperture through which an electric power supplying terminal penetrates to the image display member. The aperture is sealed by a sealing member guiding the electric power supplying terminal to an outside of the hermetic container. The sealing member is adhered on a back surface of the first substrate. The back surface is opposite to a surface of the first substrate, on, which the outer frame is arranged. An electroconductive member is arranged between the sealing member and the back surface. The electroconductive member is at predetermined electric potential.

An airtight container manufacturing method includes the steps of exhausting an inside of a container through a through-hole provided in the container, and arranging a spacer member along a periphery of the through-hole on an outer surface of the container. Additional steps include arranging a plate member having, at its periphery, grooves penetrating the plate member in its plate thickness direction so that a sealant will flow from the grooves to a side surface of the spacer member, with the spacer member and the through-hole covered by the plate member, and a gap is formed along the side surface of the spacer member between the plate member and the outer surface of the container, and sealing the container by arranging a cover member to cover the plate member via a sealant. The sealing step includes hardening the sealant after deforming the sealant by pressing the plate member with the cover member so that the sealant flows between the cover member and the outer surface of the container via the grooves and the gap is infilled with the sealant.

A method is provided for manufacturing an image display apparatus having a hermetic container including, as constructive members, a first substrate and a second substrate opposite to each other, and an external frame disposed between the first substrate and the second substrate, and an image display disposed within the hermetic container. The method includes a step of disposing a conductive bonding member between the first substrate and the external frame, and a step of sealing the first substrate and the external frame by heating the conductive bonding member. The second substrate has an electrode located outside of the hermetic container, and the sealing step includes a step of extending the conductive bonding member softened by heating from a sealing area between the first substrate and the external frame to the electrode to be in contact with the electrode.

The present application discloses a method of manufacturing airtight vessel. More specifically, here is disclosed a method of manufacturing airtight vessel having two substrates, and a frame portion fixed to the two substrates and forming a prescribed space between the two substrates, the method comprising a step of keeping a frame member for the frame portion in a prescribed shape by applying a tension to at least a part of the frame member for the frame portion, and a step of adhering the frame member to at least one of the substrates in a state in which the prescribed shape is kept.
