A front fork of a bicycle including outer cases disposed above on the side of a vehicle body, inner tubes disposed below on the side of a wheel and telescopically inserted into said respective outer cases, and brake callipers provided at the rear of the bottom end of said inner tube. A protector covering the front of the inner tube therealong, is provided, and the bottom end of this protector is fixedly secured to an axle support member connected to the inner tube. A hose holding member for holding a brake hose is formed on the front surface of the protector, and also there is provided a hose guide member for guiding a brake hose portion extending from the hose holding member up to the brake callipers so as to detour by the side of the inner tube along a route having a larger radius than that of the outer case.

Front fork of a motorcycle

A motorcycle body frame structure made of an aluminum-based alloy, and suitable for off-road jumping and landing due to its increased rigidity and toughness, and the large stroke of its shock absorber. Maintenance is facilitated because the upper frame member is detachable from the head pipe and from the coupling member connecting the rear portions of the upper and lower frame members. The strength of the engine hanger is enhanced by securing it to a member connecting the front and rear frame portions. A large-size fuel tank is accommodated in a space defined between the upper frame member and left and right lower frame members.

Motorcycle body frame structure

A motorcycle carrying a fuel tank of large capacity on a body frame, wherein the fuel tank is hung down to a position sideward of an engine and is divided in its structure to have right and left side sections, at least one of the two sections of the fuel tank being made pivotable to provide an easy access to other equipments for maintenance.

A motorcycle includes a fuel tank mounted on a frame along a length thereof, and an elongated seat mounted on the frame above the fuel tank along the length of said frame, the seat having a bottom having a portion extending along the length thereof and disposed in spaced opposed relation to an upper surface of the fuel tank to form an air intake passageway therebetween. The passageway has an open front end opening toward the front end of the frame and having a rear open end. The seat has a front end disposed near a front end of the fuel tank so that the seat covers generally the entire upper surface of the fuel tank. An air cleaner is operatively connected to an engine and is disposed rearwardly of the fuel tank. The rear open end of the passageway is in communication with the air cleaner whereby the ambient air can be fed to the air cleaner through the air intake passageway.

A two-wheeled motorcycle includes a shell for enveloping a power unit for driving a rear wheel of the motorcycle and to the front end of which a head pipe is fixed. The shell is composed of an upper shell half constituted at least by a top plate and right and left side plates, and a lower shell half constituted at least by left and right side plates and a bottom plate. The power unit is connected to the lower shell half to serve also as a mechanical strength member. The upper and lower shell halves are separably connected to each other at the ends of the side plates thereof.
