A driving force transmission control apparatus includes: a driving force transmission device that includes an electromagnetic clutch mechanism configured to generate a frictional force between clutch plates by energization of an electromagnetic coil and transmits a driving force by actuating the electromagnetic clutch mechanism; and a control device that controls the driving force transmission device. The control device includes a storage unit storing a hysteresis value representing the difference between a current value required to transmit a predetermined torque when an energization current to the electromagnetic coil is gradually increased and a current value required to transmit the predetermined torque when the energization current is gradually reduced, a torque command value calculator that calculates a torque command value, and a current command value calculator that calculates a current command value representing a target value of a current to be supplied to the electromagnetic coil based on the torque command value and the hysteresis value.

Driving force transmission control apparatus

A control device controls a driving force transmission device that presses a main clutch using an actuator that generates a pressing force according to a supply current. The control device includes a current command value setting unit that sets a current command value based on I-T characteristic information indicating the relationship between a current supplied to the actuator and a driving force transmitted, a correction duration setting unit that sets a correction duration based on a responsiveness related value related to the responsiveness of the main clutch when an increase in the driving force to be transmitted by the main clutch becomes greater than or equal to a threshold, a correction unit that increases and corrects the current command value for the set correction duration, and the current control unit that performs current feedback control such that a current corresponding to the current command value is supplied to the actuator.

A driving force transmission device includes a transfer torque command value calculation section which calculates a transfer torque command value indicating a command value of the transfer torque between two members based on a running state of the vehicle, an energy calculation section which calculates an energy value obtained by multiplying the transfer torque between the two members by a differential rotation rate between the two members at every predetermined sampling time, an energy accumulated value calculation section which calculates an energy accumulated value of accumulating the energy value calculated at every the predetermined sampling time, a map storage section which stores previously a map defining a relationship between the energy accumulated value and a correction torque, and a correction section which acquires the correction torque by applying the energy accumulated value to the map and corrects the transfer torque command value based on the acquired correction torque.

Driving force transmission device

In a power transmitting device, projections are formed on a surface of a main cam that faces an armature. This structure causes the main cam to contact the armature only at distal surfaces of the projections. The area of the distal surfaces of the projections is in a range where the magnetic flux density generated at the distal surfaces of the projections by the electromagnet is saturated. Therefore, reduction of the responsiveness and controllability of the power transmitting device due to magnetization of the main cam is suppressed.

Power transmitting device

A driving force transmitting apparatus includes: a first torque-transmitting member having a cylindrical portion and provided with a spline tooth; a second torque-transmitting member positioned inside the cylindrical portion and arranged coaxially rotatably relative to the first torque-transmitting member; a main clutch with a spline tooth; an actuator unit for actuating the main clutch to be engaged; and a controlling device for controlling the actuator unit so as to pressurize the main clutch plate in such a manner that torque is not substantially transmitted between the first torque-transmitting member and the second torque-transmitting member when the engagement of the main clutch is judged to be unnecessary.

Driving force transmitting apparatus

A drive force transmission apparatus disposed within a differential carrier and adapted to drivingly couple first and second rotary shafts. The drive force transmission apparatus includes an outer casing coupled to the first rotary shaft, an inner shaft coupled to the second rotary shaft, a frictional clutch which enters a frictionally engaged state upon reception of a thrust force to thereby couple the outer casing and the inner shaft together, and an electromagnetic drive mechanism for generating the thrust force. The electromagnetic drive mechanism includes an electromagnet disposed outside the outer casing, a yoke supporting the electromagnet, the yoke being fixedly supported by the carrier in such a manner that the yoke faces a side wall of the outer casing with a gap formed therebetween, and a thrust force generation mechanism disposed inside the outer casing and adapted to produce the thrust force to be applied to the frictional clutch upon receipt of a magnetic force from the electromagnet via the gap and the side wall of the outer casing. A surface of the yoke and a surface of the side wall of the outer casing which face the gap each have a hardened surface layer.
