A resin molded piece is made from a crystalline resin and is molded by filling a molding spacewhich is defined between a movable moldand a fixed moldwith the resin. The resin molded piece has a designed surfaceon to which a surface of the movable moldis transferred and a non-designed surfaceon to which a surface of the fixed moldis transferred. The designed surfaceincludes a mirror surface portion. Center line average roughnesses Ra of the mirror surface portionand the non-designed surfaceare both 0.5 &#x3bc;m or smaller. That is, with respect to the glass transition temperature Tgof the PMMA resin constituting the light transmissive cover, the glass transition temperature of the ASA resin constituting the lamp body is set to Tg&#x3e;Tg. Thus, it is possible to generate not a tensile residual stress but a compressive residual stress in a welding portion between the lamp body and the light transmissive cover, thereby enhancing the solvent resistance of the light transmissive cover. And, thus, an annealing process after the welding is unnecessary, or simply performed.

In a lighting device for a vehicle including a reflector in which an aluminum deposited layer is formed on a surface of a resin member, the resin member is molded through a resin obtained by adding, to a crystalline resin, a filler having a size smaller than a wavelength of a visible light, and a smooth surface and a fine concavo-convex surface are mixed into a surface of the reflector (the resin member) which is molded. The aluminum deposited layer is directly deposited on the surface of the resin, and the smooth surface is formed as a mirror finished surface and the fine concavo-convex surface is formed as a semiglossy surface. As compared with a case in which the reflector is constituted by only the simple mirror finished surface, the semiglossy surface designed to have a proper area is present so that a sense of gloss can be suppressed as a whole and a sense of high quality can be given.

A lighting unit cover including a deep color (first) resin layer subject to preblanking is laminated and molded in a predetermined position on a backside of a light color (second) resin layer on a surface side subject to postblanking. The second layer protrudes toward the first layer side and a boundary surface between the first and second layers and is offset by a distance toward the first layer side in a laminated portion. The first layer contacts the melted second resin and is subject to postblanking so that a part thereof is molten and drawn by its flow. A step portion in a cavity corresponding to a protruded portion of the second layer toward the first layer side blocks the flow of the molten first resin into the second layer. The first resin is not mixed into the first layer, resulting in excellent appearance and a large light emitting area.

The invention provides a lamp reflecting mirror in which sufficient light reflecting characteristic (surface smoothness) can be obtained without application of any undercoat layer and in which heat resisting property, luminous intensity distributing performance (dimensional stability) and form retaining characteristic (material stiffness) at the time of adjustment of the optical axis can be satisfied at the same time. The lamp reflecting mirror is produced by injection molding a composition containing 30 to 50% by weight of polyphenylene sulfide resin, 5 to 30% by weight of calcium silicate whiskers, and 20 to 65% by weight of granular inorganic filler.
