A sealing device capable of suppressing depletion of lubricant is provided. A sliding surface of a side lipat a position away from a distal end of the side lipis provided with a plurality of annular groovesadjacent each other, each of all parts that form annular protrusionsbetween adjacent annular groovesprotrudes most at a center in a width direction thereof, with an amount of protrusion gradually decreasing with increasing separation from the center, and both sides of the center in the width direction are symmetric in shape. A tip portion of the sliding surface of the side lipon the distal side of a region, which is provided with the plurality of annular grooves, is configured to make a planar contact with an end face of the annular member.

Sealing device

A sealing device includes a reinforcing ring having annular shape around an axis line and an elastic body part formed from an elastic body, the elastic body part being attached to the reinforcing ring and having an annular shape around the axis line. The elastic body part includes an annular seal lip and an annular side lip that is provided on an outer side of the seal lip and that extends toward the outer side. In an inner peripheral surface of the side lip on an inner periphery side, at least one circumferential groove which is a groove having an annular shape around the axis line is provided and at least one axial groove which is a groove extending along a direction of the axis line is provided. The circumferential groove and the axial groove are connected with each other.

A sealing device includes a reinforcing ring and an elastic body part. The elastic body part includes an annular seal lip, an annular dust lip, and an annular side lip that extends toward an outer side on an outer periphery side of the dust lip. The side lip includes an annular middle portion that increases in diameter as progress toward the outer side and an annular distal end portion that is a portion connected to and on the outer side of the middle portion and that increases in diameter as progress toward the outer side. In the side lip, the distal end portion is bent to an inner periphery side from the middle portion. In the middle portion, at least one groove is formed annularly around an axis x.

A piston includes a piston main body and a seal ring. The seal ring has a metal ring including a fitting tube portion fitted to a cylinder portion of the piston main body and a flange portion extending radially to axially oppose a pressure receiving portion of the piston main body, and a rubber-like seal main body provided on the metal ring. The seal main body has a first seal lip contacting an inner surface of a clutch cylinder, a second seal lip extending from an end of the flange portion to contact the pressure receiving portion, and an axial direction compression seal portion provided on the flange portion and compressed toward the pressure receiving portion.
