The phase sensing portion includes a cam angle sensor, a reference determination sensor, and a pattern storage unit. The valve timing controller further includes a phase acquisition portion.

A process for producing a separator material suitable for fuel cells, wherein the separator includes a pure titanium or a titanium alloy as a base material. The method comprises an application step and a heat treatment step. The application step is a step of applying a carbon black to a surface of the base material which has a carbon concentration, at a position located at a depth of 10 nm from an outermost surface, of 10 atom % or less. The heat treatment step subjects the base material, which has undergone the application step, to a heat treatment in a low-partial-oxygen-pressure atmosphere having a partial oxygen pressure of 0.0667 Pa or more and 25 Pa or less.

Titanium fuel cell separator

Disclosed is a titanium fuel cell separator having excellent conductivity and durability. In the disclosed titanium fuel cell separator (), a carbon layer () is formed on the surface of a substrate () formed from pure titanium or a titanium alloy. The present invention relates to an Ag alloy film. Particularly, it is preferably used as a reflective film or semi-transmissive reflective film for an optical information recording medium having high thermal conductivity/high reflectance/high durability in the field of optical information recording media, an electromagnetic-shielding film excellent in Ag aggregation resistance, and an optical reflective film on the back of a reflection type liquid crystal display device, or the like. The Ag alloy film of the present invention comprises an Ag base alloy containing Bi and/or Sb in a total amount of 0.005 to 10% (in terms of at %). Further, the present invention relates to a sputtering target used for the deposition of such an Ag alloy film.
