A liquid crystal display device that performs phase inversion drive in which a phase of a polarity of a data voltage is inverted in predetermined timing while performing frame inversion drive in which a positive-polarity data voltage and a negative-polarity data voltage are alternately output to a data line in each one or plurality of frames. In a first frame immediately after the phase is inverted, the source driver outputs a second data voltage to the data line in initial first periods of a horizontal scanning period, the second data voltage being closer to the common voltage than a first data voltage corresponding to input image data, and outputs the first data voltage to the data line in a second period after the first period in the horizontal scanning period.

Liquid crystal display device

A display device includes a processor including a first display mode in which the processor displays the image on the display screen from an internal image data after the processor receives a first control signal, and a second display mode in which the processor displays the image on the display screen from the image data received by the processor after the processor receives a second control signal. A luminance adjuster adjusts a display luminance based on the internal image data corresponding to a final frame immediately before switching from the first display mode to the second display mode to a display luminance higher than a display luminance of the internal image data of another frame in the first display mode. In the final frame, the image is displayed based on the internal image data in which the display luminance is adjusted by the luminance adjuster.

Display device and driving method thereof

Provided is a circuit board including inspection terminals, the circuit board including: a connection terminal, which is arranged on a front surface or in an inner layer of the circuit board, and is electrically connected to an object to be inspected; and three or more inspection terminals, which are electrically connected to the connection terminal, and are configured to measure a resistance value of the object be inspected, each of the three or more inspection terminals being arranged on a side surface of the circuit board.

Provided is a circuit board including an inspection terminal, the circuit board including: a connection terminal, which is arranged on a front surface or in an inner layer of the circuit board and is electrically connected to an object to be inspected; an inspection terminal configured to measure a resistance value of the object to be inspected; and a connection wiring configured to electrically connect the object to be inspected and the inspection terminal to each other, the inspection terminal being arranged on a side surface of the circuit board, at least a part of the connection wiring being formed on a back surface or in the inner layer of the circuit board.

Circuit board and display device

A display device includes a display portion comprising pixels including a first pixel and a second pixel, a source driver for applying a pixel voltage to pixels through signal lines, and a control portion for controlling the source driver. The first and second pixels each include a first sub-pixel and a second sub-pixel. The first sub-pixel includes a light exit portion and a color filter for a first hue. The second sub-pixel includes a light exit portion and a color filter for a second hue. An area of the light exit portion of the first sub-pixel of the first pixel is smaller than that of the first sub-pixel of the second pixel. The control portion converts the video signal for the first sub-pixel into a brighter one. The source driver applies the pixel voltage to the first sub-pixel of the first pixel based on the video signal after conversion.

Display device

A display device includes a divided display region that includes pixels and gate drivers each configured to scan gate lines included in the divided display region. The display device also includes source drivers each configured to output, for each of groups of data lines, a video signal based on a grayscale signal in order from a corresponding gate driver side based on each delay amount set in advance and a register unit configured to store the each delay amount. The register unit stores the each delay amount so that, when at least one gate driver scans in a first order from an edge of the divided display region toward a center, the video signal corresponding to the pixels positioned on a centermost side of the display region is output to the pixels, in a period including a part of a vertical flyback period of after one frame period has finished.

A video display device is provided to achieve local control for a high-quality 3D image while reducing extraneous radiation. A video display device that receives video signals from two video signal lines with an identical frame period and is capable of displaying a stereoscopic image based on left-eye and right-eye images, the video display device including: a liquid crystal drive unit; a liquid crystal panel; an LED backlight that has a plurality of light emission areas; a combination unit that generates a composite video signal by combining the video signals with the identical frame period; a local control unit that detects a video feature quantity such as the intensity value of the composite video signal and determines the light-emission intensity value of the light emission area; and an LED driver.

A control signal is outputted to an LED backlighthaving a plurality of light emission areas for emitting light to a liquid crystal panelfrom the back for the respective light emission areas corresponding to a plurality of display areas included in the liquid crystal panelcapable of displaying a three-dimensional image by receiving a left-eye video signaland a right-eye video signal, the control signal controlling the intensity of each of the light emission areas according to the intensity of an image. Light emission intensity is determined based on the left-eye video signaland the parallax information or depth information of the image, and then information on the light emission intensity is outputted to the LED backlight

Signal processing device and video display device including the same

Provided is a backlight device wherein when the drive duty and the drive current are controlled according to a motion, the image quality is improved by preventing flicker caused by the change of the drive waveform. A light-emitting unit () comprises a plurality of light-emitting areas. A motion amount detecting unit () detects the motion amount of an image in each of a plurality of motion areas each corresponding to at least one or more light-emitting areas. A drive condition specifying unit specifies a drive condition including the duty and pulse height value of a drive pulse for causing each of the plurality of light-emitting areas to emit light, on the basis of the detected motion amount. A drive unit drives each of the plurality of light-emitting areas according to the specified drive condition. The drive condition specifying unit adjusts the drive condition such that the drive condition temporally smoothly changes.

Backlight device and display apparatus

A surface light source device from which large planar light with a uniform light intensity distribution can be obtained from spot-like laser light. The surface light source device () comprises a laser light source () for emitting the laser light, an optical system including one or more reflective diffusion members (), and an optical waveguide () combined with the optical system for converting the reflected and diffused laser light into the planar light and emitting from a principal plane. The reflective diffusion member () converts the laser light emitted from the laser light source () into linear light having an arcuate radiation pattern.

Surface light source device

The backlight apparatus allows brightness control with minimum image quality deterioration. This apparatus has: an illuminating section that radiates illumination light on a back of a liquid crystal panel comprising a plurality of image display areas; and a brightness determining section that determines a light emission brightness value of the illuminating section and renews a light emitting state of the illuminating section, based on the determined light emission brightness value. The illuminating section has light emitting areas illuminating each of a plurality of image display areas. The brightness determining section determines light emission brightness values of the image display areas, from values acquired by applying weights to the information based on input image signals of the image display areas, and changes the weights for the information based on luminance of ambient light surrounding the backlight apparatus.

Backlight apparatus and display apparatus

A light output control device for laser light sources for respective RGB colors includes, for each of RGB, three sets, each including: a semiconductor laser for one of the colors; light output detection unit for detecting a light output from the semiconductor laser; light output adjustment unit for updating a light output target value; light output control unit for controlling the semiconductor laser based on the updated light output target value; and division unit for dividing the light output by an output from the light output adjustment unit to obtain a ratio of the rising of the light output, and includes rising determination unit for determining, based on results obtained by the respective division unit, a semiconductor laser with a slowest rising and outputs light output adjustment values for the respective colors. The light output adjustment unit update their respective light output target values based on the light output adjustment values. The light output control unit causes their respective corresponding semiconductor lasers to operate in accordance with a semiconductor laser whose rising time is slowest, based on the updated light output target values to keep RGB color balance upon start-up.
