A liquid crystal display device includes image signal lines, a plurality of pixel circuits that is connected to the image signal lines, an image signal line driving circuit that is connected to the image signal lines, and sequentially outputs an image signal, a gate line driving circuit that supplies a scanning signal. A period in which the gate line driving circuit supplies a scanning signal to any pixel circuit is a first period in which the image signal is output to the pixel circuit when a polarity of the image signal in a previous frame is different from the polarity in the present frame, and the first period and a second period in which the image signal of a different polarity is supplied before the first period when the polarity in the previous frame is identical with the polarity in the present frame.

Provided is a display device including a driver circuit for controlling supply of charges to an array of cells capable of storing the charges. In the driver circuit, a preceding electrically connecting part (SW) controlled by a clock signal (CLK) electrically connects an output signal line of a first circuit () having a positive polarity which is a potential higher than a reference potential and an output signal line of a second circuit () having a negative polarity which is a potential lower than the reference potential. After a predetermined time period has elapsed, a subsequent electrically connecting part (SW) controlled by a clock signal (CLK) electrically connects an output signal line of a third circuit () having the positive polarity and an output signal line of a fourth circuit () having the negative polarity.

Display device with improved driver for array of cells capable of storing charges

In a driver circuit which controls the supply of charge to cells each of which can store a charge, the EMI (Electro Magnetic Interference) which occurs at the time of performing the charge sharing driving can be reduced. A preceding conduction means (SW) which is controlled in response to a clock signal (CLK) makes an output signal line corresponding to a first circuit which has positive polarity of a potential higher than a reference potential and an output signal line corresponding to a second circuit which has negative polarity of a potential lower than the reference potential electrically conductive with each other. After a lapse of a predetermined time, a succeeding conduction means (SW) which is controlled in response to a clock signal (CLK) makes an output signal line corresponding to a third circuit which has the positive polarity and an output signal line corresponding to a fourth circuit which has the negative polarity electrically conductive with each other.

Display driver with improved charge sharing drive arrangement

A method for driving a liquid crystal display device that decreases a sticking of the display image. The liquid crystal display device includes a pixel electrode and a counter electrode. A polarity of the signal supplied to the pixel electrode is periodically inverted at the first period and the second period. The length of the first period is different from that of the second period.

Method for driving a liquid crystal display device

In a liquid crystal display device which inputs analogue video signals after phase development, the deterioration of display quality due to the irregularities of circuit can be reduced. To correct the irregularities due to a plurality of analogue circuits, the liquid crystal display device includes look up tables for a plurality of analogue circuits in the inside of a digital signal processing circuit. The liquid crystal display device performs the correction of irregularities of the analogue circuits based on data set in the look up tables.

The first section and the second section are fabricated on first and second substrates separate from each other, respectively. The second section is disposed proximately to the liquid crystal display panel, and the first section and the second section are coupled via a flexible cable.
