An energy storage apparatus includes one or more energy storage devices and an outer housing that houses the one or more energy storage devices. The outer housing includes an opening that allows communication between an interior and an exterior of the outer housing. The opening is sealed by a first pressure adjuster and a second pressure adjuster arranged complementary to each other. The first pressure adjuster allows passage of gas and prohibits passage of liquid. The second pressure adjuster prohibits passage of the gas and the liquid, and releases an internal pressure in the interior of the outer housing when the internal pressure exceeds a predetermined pressure.

Energy storage apparatus

An electric storage device includes an electric storage element including an external terminal, and a bus bar connected to the external terminal. The bus bar includes a thin-walled portion and a thick-walled portion, the thin-walled portion being located around outer edges of the bus bar. The thin-walled portion and the external terminal are directly welded together. A thickness of the thin-walled portion is less than a thickness of a remaining portion of the bus bar including the thick-walled portion.

An air-suction portion () and an air-exhaust portion () are formed in the battery pack body (). Provided is a battery pack that can securely prevent liquid, such as water and wash fluid, attached to an outer surface of a packaging case housing a plurality of electric cells from entering an internal space of the packaging case from between a tray and a cover and that also allows easily performing attachment and detachment work of the cover to and from the tray. The packaging case includes an edge cover for covering the whole circumference of a lower flange portion of the tray and an upper flange portion of the cover that abut each other. The edge cover includes a first section facing the lower flange portion, a second section facing the upper flange portion, and a connecting portion for connecting base ends of the first section and the second section. A plurality of female threaded portions are arranged on either the first section or the second section. A method for producing an electric storage device having a bus bar and an electric storage element equipped with an external terminal includes the steps of: arranging the electric storage element having the external terminal, positioning a resin member having either one of a receiving portion or a projection relative to the electric storage element, arranging the bus bar having the other one of the receiving portion or the projection on the external terminal, connecting the bus bar to the external terminal, and inserting the projection into the receiving portion in the step of arranging the bus bar.
