The magnetic encoder is constituted by integrally bonding a magnet portion obtainable by forming a magnetic material containing a magnetic powder and a binder for the magnetic powder in a circular ring shape to a slinger. The binder contains at least a thermoplastic resin and an impact resistance-improving agent.

An electric power steering device having a resin gear used in a speed reduction gear mechanism and the resin gear used for the device are provided. The speed reduction gear mechanism includes a driven gear that is the resin gear integrally formed by fitting a resin part having gear teeth formed on the outer peripheral surface thereof to the outside of a metal core and a drive gear meshed with the driven gear. The resin part of the resin gear is formed of a resin composition having, as a base resin, a polyamide resin containing 10 to 50% by weight of glass fiber of 5 to 9 &#x3bc;m in diameter, and has excellent wear resistance, durability, and dimensional stability. Grease on the meshed surfaces of the gears has such a composition that includes a thickener and 3 to 10% by weight of a wax having a melting point or softening point in the range of 70 to 130&#xb0; C. in a base oil formed mainly of at least one oil selected from mineral oil, poly &#x3b1;-olefin oil, and alkyl polyphenyl ether.

Electric power steering device and resin gear used for the same

A hub unit including a hub and a flange integrally formed with the hub, and a seal including a core metal and an elastic body integrally molded with the core metal. The elastic body includes one or more lips in sliding contact with one or both of the hub and the flange. The elastic body includes a molded rubber, wherein the molded rubber contains, as a raw rubber, acrylonitrile/butadiene rubber having an acrylonitrile monomer content of from 26 to 36% by weight. In a first embodiment, the hub unit includes a hub adapted for receiving a shaft and a flange integrally formed with the hub, and the seal is attached to an outer circumference of the hub unit. In a second embodiment, the hub unit includes an inner ring having a raceway surface for receiving rolling elements and an outer ring. The seal seals the space between the inner ring and the outer ring. Furthermore, the seal includes a radial lip in sliding contact with an outer circumferential surface of the hub.

In a linear guide apparatus including an axially extending guide rail, a slider engaged with the guide rail, and a plurality of rolling elements loaded into the slider, the linear guide apparatus further includes a sealing device fixed to the slider in slidable contact with the guide rail for sealing a clearance existing between the guide rail and the slider, in which the sealing device includes: a lubricant-containing polymer member formed of a synthetic resin containing a lubricant, and having a contact portion contacting with the guide rail to surround the guide rail, both wing portions, a connecting portion connecting the wing portions to be C-shaped substantially, and a pair of first recesses formed in the respective wing portions for fixing the lubricant-containing polymer member to the slider; a first plate member fitted to the lubricant-containing polymer member opposed to the slider; and a pair of first cylindrical members inserted to the respective first recesses.

Sealing device for linear guide apparatus

A rolling bearing includes a plurality of rolling elements movably retained at almost the same interval between an inner ring and an outer ring with a cage made of synthetic resin provided interposed therebetween. The rolling bearing further includes, an oil film made of a lubricant, and a grease containing a synthetic oil as a base oil enclosed therein. The lubricant contains at least one additive selected from the group consisting of organic aliphatic acid, organic aliphatic acid derivative and organic phosphorus compound incorporated in a synthetic oil in a proportion of from 0.5 to 10% by weight formed on the surface of the raceways of the inner and outer rings and the surface of the rolling elements, and a grease containing a synthetic oil as a base oil enclosed therein.

A liner motion device has a liner motion element fitted on a shaft and moving straight along the shaft; a plurality of balls which are retained in a rolling element groove formed on the inner side of the liner motion element and roll over between the rolling element groove and the shaft; a separator interposed between the rolling elements; and, a circulating path formed in the liner motion element through which the rolling elements are circulated from one end of the rolling element groove to the other, wherein the separator is a product of a synthetic resin containing a lubricating oil in an amount of 3 to 25% by volume.

A linear-motion device has: a linear-motion element fitted on a shaft which moves straight along the shaft; a plurality of balls which are retained in a ball groove formed on the inner side of the linear-motion element and roll over between the ball groove and the shaft; a separator interposed between the balls; and, a circulating path formed in the linear-motion element through which the balls are circulated from one end of the ball groove to the other, which is filled with a grease, wherein the separator is a formed product comprising as a resin component a polybutylene naphthalate-based elastomer formed by a hard segment made of a polybutylene naphthalate and a soft segment made of a polycondensate of 2,6-naphthalanedicarboxylic acid with a polytetramethylene ether glycol.

The present invention provides a lubricant-feeding material which can be used at a temperature as high as from 100&deg; C. to 120&deg; C., exhibits an excellent mechanical strength and stably maintains a lubricating oil having a high polarity such as ester oil and polyphenylether oil, which have excellent lubricating properties or heat resistance, or a grease comprising such a lubricating oil as a base oil in a large amount. The lubricant-feeding material comprises a polyester elastomer comprising a hard component made of a first polyester and a soft component made of a second polyester or polyether solidified containing a lubricating oil compatible with the polyester elastomer or a grease comprising the lubricating oil as a base oil, the lubricating oil oozing from the surface of the polyester elastomer.
