A composite material structure manufacturing jig is used when manufacturing a composite material structure by adhering prepreg to a framework structure including a frame component that includes a channel extending along a longitudinal direction of the frame component. The composite material structure manufacturing jig is inserted in the channel of the frame component and used therein. The jig includes a tubular body formed of an elastic material containing a reinforcement fiber, the body including a trapezoidal transverse section that is a cross section orthogonal to a longitudinal direction of the body, the trapezoidal transverse section including an upper base and a lower base longer than the upper base. A composite material molded product has a hollow portion, a bent portion, or a curved portion in a transverse section thereof. When the composite material molded product has, for example, a bent portion, a surface on an inside of the bent portion is a pressed surface. A mold includes a pressing body that is thermally expandable and has an outer surface shape corresponding to a shape of a pressed surface, and a mold main body including a cavity accommodating the laminate and the pressing body inside, the cavity including an inner surface shape corresponding to a shape other than the pressed surface. The cavity is sealed in a state that the pressing body is disposed in the cavity. The laminate is accommodated in a molding space formed between an inner surface of the cavity and an outer surface of the pressing body.

Mold for manufacturing composite material molded product, and method for manufacturing composite material molded product

A core according to one aspect of the present disclosure is a core that is inserted into a space between a skin and a stringer in a step of integrally molding the skin and the stringer, the skin including fiber-reinforced resin, the stringer having a hat-shaped section that is open toward the skin. The core includes: a first die that extends along a longitudinal direction of the stringer and contacts the skin; a second die that extends along the longitudinal direction of the stringer, is adjacent to the first die, and contacts the skin; and a third die that extends along the longitudinal direction of the stringer, is located at an opposite side of the skin across the first die and the second die, and contacts both the first die and the second die.

Core and method of forming structural body

A composite material structure manufacturing jig () is used when manufacturing a composite material structure by adhering prepreg to a framework structure including a frame component that includes a channel extending along a longitudinal direction of the frame component. A seal member formed in a line shape having ends is inserted in a seal groove formed on at least one of adjacent side surfaces of segments. A lip portion is provided on a seal upper portion of the member so at least a tip end thereof projects to an outside of the seal groove when the member is inserted in the groove. The seal member is hollow or includes a concave portion on at least a seal bottom portion thereof. When assembling the segments as a single structure, the adjacent side surfaces of the segments are coupled to each other, and the seal member is crushed in a cross sectional direction by the side surface of the other segment to seal between the segments. With this, complication of manufacturing steps can be suppressed or avoided while realizing a satisfactory sealed state between the adjacent segments of a mold.

Method of manufacturing composite material structure

A seal structure is used in a mold constituted by a plurality of segments to manufacture a hollow composite material structure. In the seal structure, a seal member formed in a line shape having ends is inserted in a seal groove provided on at least one of adjacent side surfaces of the segments. A lip portion is provided at a seal upper portion of the seal member such that at least a tip end of the lip portion projects to an outside of the seal groove. When the adjacent side surfaces of the segments are coupled to each other, the seal member is crushed in a cross sectional direction by the other of the adjacent side surfaces of the segments. With this, complication of the manufacture of the composite material structure can be suppressed or avoided while realizing a satisfactory sealed state between the adjacent segments.

Seal structure of mold for manufacturing composite material structure

A mold for a composite material structure includes: a plurality of segments including side surfaces configured to be coupled to each other, seal grooves being provided on at least one of the adjacent side surfaces; a pair of annular holding members configured to fix both respective end surfaces of the segments to keep them as a single structure; and seal members configured to seal between the segments when the side surfaces are coupled with the seal member inserted in the seal groove. Each seal member is formed in a line shape having ends. A lip portion is provided at a seal upper portion of the member. The seal member is hollow or includes a concave portion on at least a seal bottom portion thereof. With this, complication of manufacture of a hollow composite material structure can be suppressed or avoided while realizing a satisfactory sealed state between the adjacent segments.

Mold for manufacturing composite material structure

A method of adjusting a coefficient of thermal expansion of a member made of a fiber-reinforced resin, the method including: adjusting a coefficient of thermal expansion in a predetermined direction by increasing or decreasing a quantity of fiber having a grain direction in agreement with the predetermined direction. Also disclosed is a mold () for curing a cylindrical laminate () obtained by laminating prepreg. The mold includes a core die () and a surface die () outside the laminate including a plurality of partial surface dies (to). The partial surface dies are arranged to cover the entire circumferential surface of the laminate. Each of the partial surface dies is made of a fiber-reinforced resin in which a quantity of fiber having a grain direction in agreement with the circumferential direction differs from a quantity of fiber having a grain direction in agreement with an axial direction.

Mold

A mold () according to the present invention is a mold used when curing a cylindrical laminate () obtained by laminating prepreg. The mold () includes a core die () located inside the laminate () and a surface die () that is located outside the laminate () and includes a plurality of partial surface dies (to). The partial surface dies (to) are arranged in a circumferential direction of the laminate () so as to cover the entire circumferential surface of the laminate (). Each of the partial surface dies (to) is made of a fiber-reinforced resin in which a quantity of fiber having a grain direction in agreement with the circumferential direction differs from a quantity of fiber having a grain direction in agreement with an axial direction. Each of the partial surface dies (to) is constructed so that a coefficient of thermal expansion in the circumferential direction approximates a coefficient of thermal expansion of the core die () as compared with a coefficient of thermal expansion in the axial direction.

The present invention provides a technique which can disassemble a mandrel having a substantially cylindrical shape and being dividable into a plurality of segments, easily and efficiently. The disassembling method comprises, in the mandrel adhesively attached with a composite material structure on an outer peripheral surface thereof, a rotation step of rotating the pair of support rings along with the mandrel to position a segment which is a detached target to an uppermost portion; and a segment detaching step of detaching the segment which is the detached target positioned at the uppermost portion, from the pair of support rings; wherein in the segment detaching step, the segment which is the detached target is moved in a vertically downward direction to a position inside of the mandrel, between the pair of support rings, and is carried out from between the pair of support rings.

Disassembling method of mandrel used for manufacturing composite material structure and disassembling apparatus of mandrel

A technique which can assemble a mandrel having a substantially cylindrical shape and being dividable into plurality of segments, which is used for manufacturing, for example, a fuselage of an aircraft, with high position accuracy and an easy manner. In a segment fastening step, a segment which is a fastened target is fastened to a specified fastening portion which is one of a plurality of fastening portions set along a pair of support rings placed to face each other. In a rotation step, before the segment fastening step, the support rings are rotated so that the specified fastening portion is located at an uppermost portion of the support rings. In the segment fastening step, the segment which is the fastened target is placed between the support rings and lifted vertically up to a height corresponding to the specified fastening portion and then fastened to the support rings.

Assembling method of mandrel used for manufacturing composite material structure and assembling apparatus of mandrel

A mold () according to the present invention is a mold for molding a surface of a laminate () when curing the laminate () obtained by laminating prepreg (). The mold () has a planar plate shape and elastically deforms from the planar plate shape into a shape corresponding to a shape of the laminate (), thereby being capable of coming tight into contact with the laminate (). Thereby, a mold which is easy to handle can be provided.

Mold, molding jig and molding method

A bladder-type jig used for manufacturing a stiffened panel structure using a hat stringer has the advantage that deformation of prepreg can be suppressed effectively, and durability of the jig can be improved so that repeated use of the jig is achieved. A body of the bladder includes a pipe-shaped portion and a coating film covering the outer peripheral surface of the pipe-shaped portion. The pipe-shaped portion is a main body portion of the body, and is made of a silicone rubber composition material such that its transverse cross-section has a trapezoidal pipe shape. Both side edge portions of an exposed wall portion corresponding to a lower base of the transverse cross-section are thickened edge portions which are greater in thickness than another wall portions. The thickened edge portions support the exposed wall portion from inward of the body, and can suppress the exposed wall portion from getting deformed inwardly.
