A storage case has a base half and a slide half, the slide half moveably attached to the base half. The slide half can move along in continuous contact with the base half. A lid is integrally formed with the slide half, and opens and closes an opening in the slide half for the insertion or removal of objects. When the slide half is slid along in continuous contact with the base half, protrusions on the lid move along in continuous contact with cam grooves on the base half to permit the lid to open and close. The storage case can store a memory card, and protect the card from being smudged, dirtied or damaged from impact.

A tape cassette having upper and lower half members includes a tape guide formed of substantially cylindrical fixed and rotating members, the fixed member being fixed in the cassette by engagedly inserting bosses projecting from inner flat surfaces of the upper and lower half members into a hole in the fixed member, the rotating member being freely rotatable around the fixed member, and steps formed peripherally around the bosses adjacent the inner flat surfaces of the upper and lower half members between first portions confronting end surfaces of the fixed member and second portions confronting end surfaces of the rotating member so that the first portions are projected inwardly of the frame body relative to the second portions.

A tape guide roller for a tape cassette comprises an inner cylindrical body including a flange portion projecting from the outer circumference on one end thereof, and a synthetic resin injection portion provided at the outer circumferential surface at the other end thereof, the inner cylindrical body being molded by injecting synthetic resin from a direction substantially perpendicular to the axial direction thereof and an outer cylindrical body having an inside diameter such that it fits tightly over the inner cylindrical body, and includes a synthetic resin injection portion provided at the outer circumferential surface on the end side thereof opposite to the end side which serves as the insertion end for the inner side cylindrical body. The outer cylindrical body is molded by injecting synthetic resin from a direction substantially perpendicular to its axial direction through the synthetic resin injection portion. The outer cylindrical body is inserted from its insertion end onto the inner cylindrical body so that the former becomes integral with the latter, thus comprising a tape guide roller. The inner cylindrical body and the outer cylindrical body may also be molded by a double molding method.

Method of manufacturing a tape guide roller for tape cassette

A tape cassette container casing includes a casing main member having a tape cassette housing recess for housing a tape cassette and a lid formed as one with the casing main member via a hinge. The tape cassette housing recess has a reel holding protrusion formed on its bottom surface. The reel holding protrusion is engaged in a reel hole of a tape cassette for inhibiting idle rotation of a tape reel having a magnetic tape wound on it. A protrusion is formed at a position on the bottom surface of the tape cassette housing recess of the casing main member registering with a mouth portion of the tape cassette for delimiting the loading direction of the tape cassette. With the tape cassette container casing, the lid may be closed onto the casing main member only when the tape cassette is housed in the correct position for preventing damages to the magnetic tape.

A tape cassette includes a cassette casing which rotatably accommodates tape reels for winding a tape and accommodates a reel locking member for preventing the rotation of the reel when the tape cassette is not in use, wherein the reel locking member is unitedly formed with a spring portion for spring-biasing the reel locking member in its locking direction that the reel locking member prevents the rotation of the reels, and wherein the reel locking member is made of shape memory resin.
