A printed board includes a laminate in which insulating base members formed of the same material are laminated with conductor patterns. The printed board includes a bent part that is thinner than first and second substrate portions. A first main surface is located on an inner peripheral side and a second main surface is located on an outer peripheral side of the printed board. The first and second substrate portions each include an outermost insulating base member connected to an outermost insulating base member of the bent portion. The bent part includes a first conductor pattern closer to the first main surface and a second conductor pattern closer to the second main surface. A distance from the first conductor pattern to the first main surface is greater than a distance from the second conductor pattern to the second main surface. No interlayer connection conductors are located in the bent part.

Bent laminated printed circuit board

In a preparatory process of a method of manufacturing a multilayer substrate, an insulating substrate is prepared, with a conductor pattern formed only on one surface of the insulating substrate. At that time, the conductor pattern is constituted of the Cu element, a Ni layer is formed on the surface of the conductor pattern that is on the side of the insulating substrate. In a first forming process, a via hole having the conductor pattern as the bottom thereof is formed in the insulating substrate. At that time, the Ni layer that is in the area of the bottom is removed. In a filling process, a conductive paste is filled in the interior of the via hole. In a second forming process, a stacked body is formed by stacking a plurality of the insulating substrates. In a third forming process, the stacked body is heated while being subjected to pressure.

Method of manufacturing multilayer substrate

A heat flux sensor is provided with a main body which detects heat flux, and filling members. The main body has a first surface. The first surface has an uneven shape, with a plurality of concave portions and a plurality of convex portions. The filling members are filled in the plurality of concave portions. Surfaces of the filling members constitutes a part of an outer surface of the heat flux sensor. The degree of flatness of the outer surface is higher than the degree of flatness of the first surface of the main body.

A grille shutter device opens and closes an introduction passage through which air is introduced from an opening provided at a front part of a vehicle to the inside of the vehicle. The grille shutter device includes: a driving fin and a driven fin that are configured to rotate between an open position in which the introduction passage is open and a closed position in which the introduction passage is closed; an actuator configured to drive the driving fin; a power transmission member configured to transmit power from the driving fin to the driven fin; and a first stopper configured to define a first position by coming into contact with the power transmission member.

Grille shutter device

Resin films, all of which are formed of the same resin material, are laminated to form a laminate. Heat and pressure are applied to the laminate to integrate the resin films into one piece; then the pressure applied to the laminate is released and the laminate is cooled. In a predetermined region of the laminate which is to constitute a bent part, one or more of the resin films are arranged on each of one side and the other side in a lamination direction of the resin films with respect to one conductor pattern; and the total thickness of the one or more resin films arranged on the one side is larger than the total thickness of the one or more resin films arranged on the other side. Consequently, the predetermined region can be bent by utilizing the difference between contraction force generated in the one or more resin films arranged on the one side and contraction force generated in the one or more resin films arranged on the other side during the cooling after the application of heat and pressure.

Manufacturing method of printed board

An measuring instrument for a physiological heat quantity emitted from a human body includes a heat flux sensor, and a calculator. The heat flux sensor includes a sensor main body portion and a moisture absorbing member. The sensor main body portion has multiple through holes penetrating through the sensor main body portion from a first surface to a second surface. The sensor main body portion is disposed on a human body such that the first surface is adjacent to the human body when in use, and outputs a sensor signal according to a heat flux passing through the sensor main body portion from the first surface toward the second surface. The moisture absorbing member is stacked on the second surface of the sensor main body portion. The calculator calculates the physiological heat quantity based on the sensor signal.

Measuring instrument for physiological heat quantity

A support device comprises a piston rod and a fixed member arranged so that a target object is placed therebetween, and an elastic member is provided to the target object side of the fixed member. A monitoring device includes a heat flux sensor and a detection part. When the target object is supported between the piston rod and the fixed member due to force applied by the piston rod, the heat flux sensor outputs a signal corresponding to the heat flux flowing between the elastic member, which is compressed by the load applied from the piston rod, and the fixed member. Based on the signal output by the heat flux sensor, the detection part detects the support state of the target object supported by the support device, or the size of the target object.

Monitoring device

An air cylinder includes a tubular cylinder and a piston which is moved by pressure of a fluid supplied to a chamber provided inside the cylinder. A monitoring device includes a heat flux sensor and a detection part. The heat flux sensor is provided to the cylinder and detects heat flux that flows between inside and outside of the cylinder due to compression or expansion of the fluid in the chamber caused in accordance with the movement of the piston. The detection part detects the moving state of the piston based on the output signal of the heat flux sensor.

A method of manufacturing a thermoelectric converter includes filling each of a plurality of through-holes in each of a plurality of resin films with fillers containing a plurality of thermoelectric material particles. At this time, a part of the filler is extruded from each through-hole. In this state, the plurality of resin films are stacked together. A top-surface protection member having top-surface conductor patterns is stacked on one side of the plurality of resin films. A back-surface protection member having back-surface conductor patterns is stacked on the other side of the plurality of resin films. Thus, an integrated stacked body is formed. The integrated stacked body is then heated and pressurized. A plurality of thermoelectric material particles are thereby sintered to form the first and second thermoelectric members.

Method of manufacturing thermoelectric converter

In a radiant heat sensor, first and second thermoelectric members are alternately arrayed one by one in a direction along a first surface of a plate-shaped member so as to be separated from each other, and each of the first and second thermoelectric members configure a portion of the first surface. First conductor patterns extend the first surface, disposed on the first surface so as to span a single first thermoelectric member and a single second thermoelectric member that are adjacent to each other, and configure hot contact portions between the first and second thermoelectric members. Second conductor patterns extend along the first surface, disposed on the first surface so as to span a single first thermoelectric member and a single second thermoelectric member that are adjacent to each other, and configure cold contact portions between the first and second thermoelectric members.

Radiant heat sensor

A thermal flow-rate sensor includes: a first temperature sensor that detects the temperature at a specified location of the outer-wall surface of a pipe; a heat-transfer element that is arranged on the outer-wall surface of the pipe in a state separated from the first temperature sensor, and that exchanges heat with a measurement medium by heating or cooling the outer-wall surface of the pipe; a second temperature sensor that detects the temperature of a portion of the outer-wall surface of the pipe that is heated or cooled by the heat-transfer element; and a control unit that performs specified processing. A heat-flux sensor is arranged between the heat-transfer element and the outer-wall surface of the pipe and directly detects heat flux between the heat-transfer element and the pipe; and the control unit detects the flow rate of the measurement medium based on the temperature that is directly detected by the first temperature sensor, the temperature that is detected by the second temperature sensor, and the heat flux that is detected by the heat-flux sensor.

Thermal flow-rate sensor

A wind direction meter has the following plurality of sensors and a control unit. Each sensor has a first surface and has first and second interlayer connection members made of different metals or semiconductors. Further, the wind direction meter includes a thermoelectric conversion element which generates an electrical output when a temperature difference occurs between first ends and second ends of the respective first and second interlayer connection members. The sensor generates an electric output when the surrounding air, whose temperature has been changed by a heater, is moved by the wind to produce a temperature difference between the first ends and the second ends of the first and second interlayer connection members. The control unit calculates the direction of the wind on the basis of the difference in output. Thus, the wind direction of a weak wind can be detected with the wind direction meter.

Wind direction meter, wind direction/flow meter, and movement direction meter

A mass flowmeter includes a flow sensor having a first sensor part and a second sensor part formed on both sides of a heater part. The flow sensor is formed of a thermoplastic resin, and is configured of a multi-layer substrate including a plurality of stacked insulating layers, and a first conductor and a second conductor and formed on these insulating layers and connected to each other. The multi-layer substrate is formed by pressurizing and heating the plurality of insulating layers for integration. When a fluid having heat released from the heater part is moved along the one face of the flow sensor, the first and the second sensor parts and generate electromotive forces in the level corresponding to temperature differences generated between the one face and the other face in the first and the second sensor parts. The flow sensor has a structure manufactured by pressurizing and heating the plurality of insulating layers for integration. The structure has no large space unlike a structure having a space immediately below a diaphragm. Thus, the flow sensor is less breakable than a sensor having a diaphragm structure is.

Mass flowmeter and velocimeter

A heat flux sensor is installed in such a way that heat flux emanating from a biological object present at a predetermined position is detectable. It is determined whether or not a biological object is present at the predetermined position by comparing sensing results of the heat flux sensor with determination criteria. The determination criteria is preset according to heat flux that can be sensed when a biological object is present at the predetermined position. When the sensing results of the heat flux sensor satisfy the determination criteria, in other words, when the heat flux sensed by the heat flux sensor is the heat flux emanating from a biological object, it is determined that a biological object is present at the predetermined position. Consequently, it is possible to realize accurate detection of a biological object.
